.. to those people who say that football, ( it's football not soccer ) is boring, you just don't understand how the game works. I agree with garyg that basketball is boring, scoring back and forth until the game-time expires. When the other team leads by 10 points and there's only a minute left you can guarantee that the leading team will win. Unlike in football, you can't close your eyes for the whole 90 minutes. Just like in the 1999 UEFA Champions League finals with Manchester United vs Bayern Munich. Bayern was leading 1-0 with only two minutes remaining, but Man. U got two goals within those two minutes.

.. my dad was a true advocate of basketball, remember him saying that football is damn boring, but when his australian and french buddies introduced him football and when he finally understood the game, he got addicted to it.
