That's right, I've been awake listening to the Raiders live on the internet. They are up 13-10 now going in to the 4th quarter. Let's see if they can hold on to the lead.

Of course the Raiders blew the lead and lost the game 17-13. After giving up a touchdown to go down by 4 points the Raiders needed to get a touchdown cuz a field goal was useless with under 2 minutes left to play. Well they got down the field and had the ball on the Chiefs 8 yard line, first down and goal, 32 seconds left with no time outs left. We can use all 4 downs to try and pass the ball into the end zone. Will that happen, of course not. Although Brooks had a nice game coming back from his injury to start and having no turnovers to that point.... on first down he tries to force the ball to Randy Moss in the end zone. Moss was not open and the ball was intercepted... end of story, game over, they did it again...........ooooh the agony.........heheh. They are killing me. Finding ways to stay in games and then finding ways to lose them.
Tough game again in San Diego next week (guess all games are tough for the 2-8 Raiders.... but it's tougher for us fans though). At least the game is on TV next week (tape delayed) so I don't have to get up early to be dissapointed again, I can do it on normal time.......hahah.
Hey, we have more Super Bowl Championships than any other team in our division ... hahah.... still all I got right now.

I hope the Raiders will bounce back. I'm watching the Seattle - 49ers game. I also hope SF will bounce back after so many lousy season losses. They seem to be with 4-5 trailing behind Seattle. Hope they make the division title for NFC West if not Seattle. Enjoy the NFL!

Grrrrr..........another week for the Raiders, another loss for the Raiders. I won't get into it too much as it was yesterday and my frustrations have settled down some. I got up at 5am for the "live" tv broadcast of another good effort without a win.
Defense played well enough again, and the offense once again sputtered in the fourth quarter, no two minute offense whatsoever. Turned the ball over "once again: when they had the chance to tie the game at the end. All in all a very good effort against the first place Chargers. For those of you who gave the points to the Raiders and lost money, good for you..........heheh.
I hope the defense stays intact for next year as they are developing into a fearsome group.

@Ezra: What is happening to your Broncos? Looks like they are just barely in the playoffs at this point, and they don't have any Raider games left.......heheh.

Well, it looks like this thread has turned into my personal Raider's 2006 disaster diary.
Yes, I did listen to the Raiders-Texans game live off the internet. Since it was a home game for the Raiders, I only had to wake up at 5:00 am to listen.
Well, I am going to keep this one short, as some of the pain has gone away since gametime....heheh.

Pitiful is all I can say. The offense once again turned the ball over with a chance to tie or win the game in the last few minutes. I think that makes "5" times in the last 7 games. I have to do the research but it's crazy. It's supposed to be a 2-minute offense, not 2 minutes of offensiveness.
Also, the special teams defense, I think that's the 3rd or 4th time this year that they let up a big return on a kickoff when we had taken a lead. Nice way to turn the momentum back around the other way. Jamikowski, if you are hurt, then tell the coach and let someone else kick, especially missing usually easy 37 and 29 yard attempts.
The Raiders offense is so pitiful that the Texans became the first NFL team in 25 years to win a game with negative passing yards, the Texans didn't even complete a pass in the second half.
Oakland turned the ball over five times, missed three field goals, allowed five sacks and had only one offensive score.
The Raiders lost despite outgaining Houston 302-124 in total yards.
Defense, I applaud you, I am surprised you haven't beat the $()#& out of the offense in the locker room. If you had anything resembling an offense to take the field with, then the Raider's would easily be in the hunt for a playoff spot.
Oh well, so much for keeping it short, the more I talk about them, the more my blood boils....heheh.
Tune in next week for another chapter in this unthriller. Hmm, wonder if they can find another way to let me down.
I have to get up at 2 am monday morning to listen to this next game against the Cincinnati Bengals... sigh!!!

Well, here we are again, or I guess it's just me on this thread now.... heheh.

Although the game isn't officially over, it's all over except for the final score (it's now Bengals 27 Raiders 10 with only a few minutes left) and it was pretty much over early as the Cincinatti Bengals took a 14-0 lead in the 1st quarter.. The Raiders' vaunted passing defense couldn't stop the Bengals wide receivers. and the D didn't pressure the Bengals qb much all day. It could have been worse was it not for the Raiders' 3 interceptions of the Carson Palmer.
The offense had a few nice drives but one ended in an interception, another in only a field goal, and one a touchdown when the game was already out of hand.
But they did turn the ball over twice and were sacked 4 times (with 3 minutes still left in the game). They also only had 45 yards rushing.
The Raiders are now 2 wins and 11 losses (6 losses in a row). They haven't scored more than 14 points in a game since October.

All around they did not play well, so it's an all around loss. The Raiders lost and I lost sleep. I awoke at 2 am to listen live on the internet.
Sigh..... until next week (don't worry, only 3 more games left).

Hopefully, this board will get warmed up as we are nearing the NFL playoffs in a few weeks.
Who do you think looks like they are readying for a run to the Super Bowl at this point?

I think Chicago (and their Monster's of the Midway defense) and New Orleans (with their versatility) look tough in the weaker NFC. Dallas was looking good until the Saints smacked them around last week. Let's see how they rebound against Atlanta, who by the way would puts themselves into the spotlight as a contender themselves.

In the AFC, the Chargers are rolling along with L.T. The Ravens D is solid. Indianapolis has taken a couple a couple of losses in a row. Their offense is extremely potent, but will they once again fall short of expectations?. The Patriots have lost 3 games at home this season (after losing only 5 of last 31 previous home games), but you can't count Brady out, even though he broke up with his girlfriend Since when is that news anyway...heheh.

I guess it depends on who's hot, healthy, and more prepared come playoff time. Exciting thing about NFL vs the NBA, MLB, and NHL is that it's a single elimination tournament. There's no.... we'll get them tomorrow. Each game is a "game 7".

As for my Raiders, the #1 draft sweepstakes continues against the Lions (both with only 2 wins). Although the Bucs are trying to hang in there with only 3 wins themselves. It's killing me.

Blah, last week Raiders shut out by Rams. 3rd time they have been shut out this year. Weak performance. So far I have seen Jay Leno cracking on the Raiders at least 3 times this year, including once this past week.
Saturday's Chiefs at Raiders game (Sunday morning here in the Philippines) is on the NFL Network in the U.S. but is not scheduled to be on television here. At least I don't have to get up early to listen. I can get some sleep.
    ThanX
