I think there is something wrong with a society that thinks of wealth as equal to title, money or fame. What our society should be taught is that as long as we are content and happy, we are healthy. We should not be looking down on other people just because they are street sweepers or jeepney drivers and think "I should be better than this guy". Our education or college degree should not be a necessity or a label of our success in life (or living - as other people say it).

If my father would read this, he would disagree.

A college degree is not a necessity but a passport to greater things. He seeks before the highest position in the company but he was told that though he is more capable than the others, he lacks the paper hanging on the wall (refering to the diploma) on which he understood.

Ang-ang man pud og ma presidente siya nga wa siyay college degree nya iya subordinates mga degree holder, mosubmit kaha na sa authority. He was just happy and thankful though to have the Vice-presidency for over 10 years until he retired kay ingon pa tawn sa ako amahan, morag nihit kaayo ang highschool graduate makaabot aning ako na achieve.

yes that true to our society now..
most of the company now are looking for a degree holder for higher positions..
higher positions means higher pay..
and everyone of us now need that..
so that makes it a necessity..

BUT having no degree can't stop someone to be wealthy..
In fact i know alot of successful people nowadays aren't a degree holder..
also i know alot of degree holders nowadays are just in the middle class even with their higher position..
then WHY is that?

its because there are things that maybe differs them..
maybe how they think, how they plan, how they act, how they handle..
also maybe their personalities, attitude towards their goal..
or maybe "DISKARTE"

so because of that reality that is really happening now
i can't say fully that having a degree is a necessity..
YOU yourself is the key to success..
