I have this system on my car.

1 2000watts T20001bd RF amp to drive my 2 CVX
2 2500watts Crunch amp to drive my 2 Solobaric

4 channel Alpine MRV545F 160w each channel

2 Optima redtop battery

Alternator upgraded to Bosch 120 Amperes

My question: Is my 120a alternator enough to power my system? or do i need to double it.

how much pud nga bararto? basta audio control mo guapo ra ba gyud kuno samot ang sounds.

assuming hu and amps are running full throttle,

4 sub amps = 2000wrms (rf) + 2500wrms (2 gp2500s) = ~4500wrms
(note: gp2500 output is 2500w dynamic power, not rms @ 1ohm)
1 amp for seps = 4 x 160wrms = 640w
hu = 4 x 30w = 120w (assuming 60wpeak per ch)
total = 4500 + 640 + 120w = 5260wrms

assuming your electrical system gives a steady 14.4vdc,
total current = 5260 / 14.4 = 365.3amps

assuming each of your 3 batteries can contribute 100a, your electrical system is capable of:
120amps + (3 x 100amps) = 400amps

notes:
1. the alt has to be running at a particular rpm to give out its rated 120amps
2. very conservative ang 100amps (reserve capacity) per battery and normally used in calculations when engine is off
3. i didn't include losses sa calculations to make it simpler
4. when engine is running, all power is provided by the alternator but when the voltage begins to sag, the batteries kick in

so yes, your electrical system is more than enough to power your sick, kicka** system c",)

btw, how much and where did you get your red tops and kinetic?
