sayang lang coz kita ra man gihapon maka benefits if we maintain being at the top, mo lambo pag ma ayo atong tourism business.

ato nalang neh e think nga challenge neh para sa atong provincial government to explore more tourist destination that camsur dont have, and i hope gob. gwen should stop the suroy2x sugbo program nga iyang nawong ra ang ga bida permi, instead of mo focus sa lain butang kaysa anang iyang soroy2x and festival, dako og budget but gamay ra ang na balik sa pundo

duh! mabawi rna sa cebu ang title... nka taghap rnang camsur! hehehe btw, look at cebu! Can't you see the progress? I work in IT park, it's like I'm in Dubai full of cranes... and the structures vital for tourism are already in place. Garcia will just have to do a little bit of effort.. BAM! No.1 nasad ta!

What people seem to forget is that while CamSur is not #1 in terms of tourists arrivals, the once poor province closed the gap with Cebu. The tourist arrival difference is less than 50,000 in 2009. That alone should be a major concern. Another concern is that Cebu's tourist arrival growth rate is a little over 1% while CamSur's growth rate was at 117%.

Sports tourism is highly lucrative and popular and CamSur is the hottest sports tourism destination in the country today - several sports events were held there and combined they attracted thousands of participants that contributed to the tourism boom. Meanwhile, sports tourism here in Cebu went downhill as the promised benefits from the hosting of the 2005 Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) never happened. While there are lots of running events in Cebu recently, very few people from other places join those events (at least in comparison to CamSur's sports events that attracted lots of tourists - both local and foreign).

I also think it would be best that more people here in Cebu tour CamSur, enjoy its offerings and learn. Me and my companions will be going there in two months time.

Lastly, there are facts that we people must realize and do something about it.

But as other provinces/areas open up and because they have seen the bad side of how tourism in Cebu was developed, they can formulate their own strategy which is better organized and managed. Let's face it, kuwang ug support ang atong LGU kay ija-ija, aho-aho man ta dire. Unlike Cam sur for example nga everybody seems to be the stakeholders.
How should reality and changes in tourism be dealt with? Discover, learn and adjust.

As the old saying goes: Learn it. Know it. Live it.

I think more people should tour CamSur or other provinces and discover what makes their tourism special.

we, cebuanos must do our part also in contributing to the success of our tourism industry.

word of mouth is one of the best way to promote cebu.. if you have foreigner friends, tell them to come and visit cebu.. for sure they'll share their great experience to their friends also.. little contribution can greatly help boost our tourism industry...
