Though i think that building such is completely useless and there are better ways to spend a billion. But what can we do, we have the freedom to do anything we like in this country as long as it is not against any of our laws. And i don't think he is breaking any law.

I guess guys the best thing to do is to let him be. I'm not into the whole religion/faith/prayer/god thing but since i have respect for peoples' beliefs or lack thereof so for me, If he wants to build a billion peso shrine/whatever then fine, don't care. Heck he can even build a trillion dollar island in the middle of the ocean in the shape of his d**k if he wants to.

I saw the news at TV Patrol, it clearly stated that 1 Billion is for building of the entire Shrine of Mother Mary of the Poor at Montemaria not for the statue itself..Statue will cost at 400M.

Mas maau man cguro to find out more about what Fr. Suarez & his non-profit organization done to the society rather than judging them right away.. To think his organization is Canada based which more foreigner's are donating & volunteering..If he has his personal interest or squander the donations, his answerable to those who trust him to lead the organization.. Let's give him a benefit of a doubt..If this Shrine will become a tourist destination, it will also add value to Batangas gov't.
