Thread: Innodata XML!

  1. #201

i want to include myself in this forum because i was once a pioneering employee of innodata way back 1999. It was really an experience worth reminiscing and i made a lots of friends. We started working there thought construction were still on going and paints were all over the place. My user name was GS3, if u happen to know me better not mention it here and i have my 5 years experience in Innodata (Dec. 1999 to March 2005). My experience really helps me in my career path coz as innodatan we were expose to different task and you need to be versatile since you will be working with different people and exposed to different management styles. My knowledge in computer since our job in innodate was computer based helps a lot when i applied and start working with other company. My know-how in Adobe Photoshop and microsoft office programs hasten and extended my capabilities and applied it in my present day job. Hope i share something for the fresh graduates and encourage new applicants to apply for the company. I am one of the living testimony of how the company inculcate and shape my career right now. Presently working here in Manila.

Innodata are nothing more like Call centers if you will look at it in a bigger perspective, Innodata has been in business since late 80's and it became one of the biggest data processing company in the Philippines. Believe it or not, call center was once innodatas business (FYI: Innodata is one of the first few call centers in the Philppines, if not the first) way back in 80s (in fuente). The founder did not pursue with the business call center coz it's premature in philippines, so he retired the call center. Innodata is an excellent training ground. if you're working in a call center or any business that involves computer or data processing ryt now, i'm pretty much sure that someone in the top management is from Innodata. and i bet my career on that.

so i suggest that before u will bad mouth the company, make sure u'll survive in Innodata and don't be a smart ass.
You, sir, sound familiar. You must be the guy who ran down a hill without shoes and once tried to father a son from Blissy but soon found out you were both of the same gender. LOL. Have you found your OT's yet, seņor?

Kidding aside, what Jack here says is true. If you wanna stick around in that company (or any company for that matter) get in and work your way up the ladder. Else, you're like pawns in a chess game (Personally, I'd prefer a smart employee over a hard-working one, but that's me). This company, and any other company like it, is highly dependent on the situation abroad. Since it's an American company it will inevitably target (usually) American customers. Makes sense -- they (owners) are familiar with the American culture, how it thinks, etc. But like any other business, it is also aiming to expand its market base and allowing more services. It's gaining momentum and popularity among European customers as well.

It will be around for a long time which ever way the outside economies swing coz the need will always be there. Technology is what drives the times nowadays and Innodata is right in the thick of things.

    My 0.2 cents.
