not sure boss...but are you from cebu? at all?

Member ba kag SSC boss? HEHE!
^it was one of the rumors...hopefully, the dilapidated buses are not part of the actual package...we all know what government vehicles look like...well, except for the congressmen/senators/above...
actually boss, if future lang ang hisgutan, BRT can do what the LRT can do. its just that BRT is not that costly. Naa bakay idea boss pila ang daily operating expenses para LRT or MRT?
and sa kadtong mga nag ingon nga dili environment friendly ang BRT, well sa world bank nga proposal, they are going to use environment friendly buses, at least mao nay naa sa project proposal so i would think they would use Natural Gas operated buses.
LRT/MRT is NOT environment friendly. it uses electicity to run. majority of our power plants in our country uses Coal and Diesel, the more we use electricity, the more power plants burn Coal and Diesel. Plus prone ta sa blackouts. maka stall na sa dagan sa MRT/LRT and if so, kinahanglan napud mag invest additionally ug generators which is another overhead and operational cost.
actually I'm in favor sa LRT or MRT but sa situation sa cebu karon or sa pilipinas in general, it is moot.
LRT/MRT is very expensive, if future imong gihisgutan, aw hunahunaa nga LRT would require at least an amount of passengers a day para maka breakeven sa ilang operational cost, it would mean government will have to subsidize operational cost para lang mapadagan imong LRT/MRT. if future lang hisgutan, then andama imong kaugalingon for higher taxes para lang ma subsidize na kay i doubt willing ang mga politiko nga makuhaan ilang maluklok para lang sa subsidy.
hunahunaa nga bisag ang mga developed countries like singapore, australia, america, nag subsidize ilang government para lang sa operational cost pagpadagan sa LRT/MRT. tag-as nana silag GDP, dagko income ilang cities that is why makaya nila subsidize. i don't think filipinos would want another higher taxes.
sige let us say daghan na middle class sa cebu maka afford nag plete 30 pesos sa MRT/LRT, but can you honestly say nga sufficient ang ridership sa MRT/LRT para lang maka sustain sa cost?
before ma implement ang BRT, ang naa sa proposal is to widen the roads nga agian mas wider pa sa mga stations. BRT is the best way for cebu, it is not costly both sa government and sa commuters.

in the end our opinions doesn't matter anyway. siguro share ratag ideas why we are in favor of BRT or not. i just happen to know because i work for a company that deals with MRT/LRT and i can see how damn expensive it is to operate those things.
Kanang lane para sa BRT ngano diay ug mga puj ang ibutang diha. Mag train2 sila walay overtakay.just my 1cent
