However, as part of the plan, solutions will be in place to address this problem.
I think if we need to base our progress here in Cebu and serve Manila as our footprint in basing this progress. After all, how many times have we already compared ourselves with our fellow Metro Manilanons, If we need to be at par or at least be with their level, we also need to think PROGRESS in the long RUN.

Nevertheless, A very likely candidate is the OVERWAY rather than a SUBWAY... I'll tell you what.. if your really a proponent of this BRT Scheme, Why not post a POLL here in Istorya to say whose who is in FAVOR or AGAINST BRT... Whose for LRT and whose for BRT.... And I would go with your way that any plans of making this a reality would always be DERAILED with those INEPT and SELFISH IDEALS of POLITICOS who are just after their own WELFARES.

Let's have a POLL here nalng brad... Let the people/Istoryans SPEAK and VOTE for themselves whose for LRT and whose for BRT.

cebu badly needs an effective mass transport system right now, lrt should be the right one for cebu but what can we do with this manila centric type of government, they are expanding their mrt/lrt here and there and nothing for cebu but anyway Im really thankful that this brt is being push through and its better than nothing.

I disagree. How can we make Metro Manila as our baseline when LRT is not feasible to us? They have bigger population than ours thus they need to have LRT and other mass transportations. And to think LRT is subsidized with approximate 2 billion per year loss from the government. From that case, how many projects could be materialized in exchange for that project?

For Cebu, we will become the first one to use BRT here in the Philippines and as planned, Metro Manila and Davao will follow suit.

There's already an existing poll. See at the top of this thread. Though poll is not an effective consensus since this is a BRT thread and most voters do not actually weigh things prior voting.

You really dont see my point do you?

Cebu's population is fast becoming like Metro Manila already and hence
in the long run we still soon become like them. Would it be good planning it now rather than the future? Your what can do now thinking isnt going to bring Cebu's progress far out to the future. Thats what is the mindset of some people nga gusto mka barat. Minintinir lng sa baratohon sakripisyog quality basta mkaminus lng sa gasto. Walay paghuna sa ngadto2.

Being closeminded in really advocating BRT as the main idea and shutting off other good viable ideas is just plainly a selfish thought.

Don't think bai nga wala ko kakuha sa imong point. Kung modako ang population sa Cebu, sure ka wala na giapil sa feasibility study? Do you think ang current ra ang ilang gi mind? And how much increase would that be?

We talked long-term solution here. We also agreed that BRT is a short-term one. And I don't see that I'm selfish here. Yes, I'm advocating BRT over LRT because we really need it asap and the latter is not feasible per facts. I wonder why you also shutting off a short-term solution where it is going to happen soon and will help lessen traffic problems here in Cebu. For the sake of the discussion, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

hah! the funny thing is...when the road is that wide, that would be a free parking to those people who buys cars without having a parking lot...not to mention the "negosyante" ug car wash/scrap metal...ug uban pa...

naa pay Towing Zone nga way tow-tow...or kung naa galing, gana-gana...
