..there is actually a higher rank among the three you mentioned..these are the royal guards or the Royal Special Task Force..it is directly under the royalty..ka level ra sila sa central 46..

..i guess it'll be called a promotion from being a captian (which under the supervision of central 46) to a royal special task force (which is of the same level with the central 46)..

..wiht Isshin..now i am having a doubt on my belief that he was once a royal guard..i can't seem to remember on how i came up on a conclusion why Isshin was once a royal guard..more than a year ago i just had an argument with my friend on Isshin's history..ahahahaha..and i can't remember on what we both agreed upon..

..oh well..gomen2x..if i had a wrong info..ato daw i ask si Tite Kubo..ehehehehe..

..kahinumdum nako..

..me and my friend were arguing on Isshin..the first argument was that "Isshin was Kaien"..because they got a lot of similarities and so as ichigo..and we ended up that Isshin is not a shinigami of the Soul Society, and that his haori is different from the other captains' haori..it more resembles of a royal guard's haori..

..that is why we came up with a conclusion that Isshin was once a royal guard..its hard to put into detail why Isshin was once a royal guard murag mag nosebleed ko sa pag flashback!..hahahaha..

1. 1st is occupied by Genryussai about 2000years ago,
2. 2nd by Soi Fon a 100years ago,
3. 3rd is Gin about 50years,
4. 4th by Uohanna is a long time ago,
5. 5th by Aizen which was a long time ago,
6. 6th by Byakuya about 50years,
7. 7th by Komamura which follows Tousens timeline,
8. 8th by Kyoraku who is 1 of the first captains,
9. 9th by Tousen,a long time ago judging by he being a shinigami when Aizen was a fukutaicho,
10. 10th by Hitsugaya,which join the shinigami after Hinamori which was after Gin and Byakuya became captains,
11. 11th by Zaraki,long time ago,follows Tousens timeline,
12. 12th by Mayuri and Kisuke,so thats taken,
13. 13th by Ukitake,one of the first captains.

So logically,he would be the 10th as Kisuke said he hasn't been a captain for 20years,but this is just speculation.
