i think steve nash belongs in this category "who's the best NBA player right now".
OT: just my views
@jugs_05, i hope you've read @lunateec22's post with the quote "numbers don't really matter" in it's entirety. it made sense to me. it never came to mind that he was thinking of a "go to guy" that would have 5 points 2 rebounds average per game in his career, that's just absurd and to think you had "NBA Legend" on the same sentence with those stats.. tsk tsk.. now that's contradicting.. that player would never be a "go to guy" much less be an "NBA Legend". what do you think?
@iamdede, pls read #3 of the forum rules specially this line "If you don't have anything to say, don't post anything at all. This refers to "No Comment" or "Wala lang pahipi lang ko" type of posts."

we certainly have different contradicting points of views here.. this all goes back to whether or not an NBA player is a "go-to-guy", or a guy with the numbers to show.. again, we should ask ourselves.. who is the best player in the NBA and what for you is a best NBA player?@jugs_05, i hope you've read @lunateec22's post with the quote "numbers don't really matter" in it's entirety. it made sense to me. it never came to mind that he was thinking of a "go to guy" that would have 5 points 2 rebounds average per game in his career, that's just absurd and to think you had "NBA Legend" on the same sentence with those stats.. tsk tsk.. now that's contradicting.. that player would never be a "go to guy" much less be an "NBA Legend". what do you think?
I believe that what we can consider as a better NBA player than the others is someone who can make his teammates better around him thus helping the team win more games. Any offensive minded player can score a lot of points if he plays for a mediocre team but this does not necessarily help his team win games.
I still think that Steve Nash and Chauncey Billups, even though they don't belong to the upper echelons where the likes of Kobe Bryant sits, can be considered as better NBA players even if they don't make the all-star ballots.
Agreed... Steve Nash is singelhandedly lifting the Suns right now with his ability to make his teammates better. And of course, taking a place in the All-Star game and the PG position. On Chauncey, he and his teammates elevated the Pistons into an early title favorite and pacing the 70+ mark. I guess it all depends on the players' "star quality". But of course, Billups will always be an All-star to me.Originally Posted by Sardinas
