So can we agree that the more skilled a player is the better he is than the others. If you have a skilled player with the physical talent to go with it you will have Michael Jordan.
yes agree but in case of Bird, i never instituted Bird to the trigger man. i only mentioned the talents Bird have without using much of an athleticism.

i do believe, together with you that with pure shooting and great athleticism comes a player named MJ and kobe could be as will but i posted earlier, MJ have more chances defending kobe than he defending MJ.

Yup muagree pud ko nimo naay maayo nga player basta utok gamiton. Mo-overachieve sila. Sila hornacek, mark jackson, detlef schrempf ako mahinumduman nga taas ayo basketball IQ though not great players like Bird pero nakaduwa gihapon og nagdugay sa NBA.

    OT

I always consider Detlef Schrempf better than Dirk Nowitzki.. tungod sa iya kamaro mo dula..

yup mo excel gyud ang player basta otok gamiton... there are so many ways to be effective...

OT:hahahahaha the other german.. dirk is purely a shooter kung depensaan maau he can be contained.

on topic: i think kobe will still be sucessful but definitely not as successful as now because of the way the players played during the 80's... im talking bout the passion.... the intensity.... the physicality of the game.... hand check is allowed... no silly touch me fouls called. its purely physical.... its basic shoot the ball in the hoop no showboating... where dunking is highly contested bahalag magkina unsa nana diha basta dili ko ma-dunkan sa usa ka player... mao na attitude sauna.... kobe will still score but not in bunches i believe.

some important info about defensive three seconds and handchecking, this rules were not present during the 80's and the early 90's.

Defensive Three Seconds: A defensive player is not allowed inside the key area for more than three seconds unless he is guarding the player with the ball or is actively guarding any opponent. To be considered actively guarding, a defender must be within an arms length of his opponent. If an offensive player moves through the key, the defender must be within an arms length, and also move along with the offensive player. He can not just stand there and put his arms out to the new three-second count.

Hand Checking: A defender may not place and keep his hand on an opponent unless he is in the area near the basket with his back to the basket. A defender may momentarily touch an opponent with his hand anywhere on the court as long as it does not affect the opponent’s movement (speed, quickness, balance, rhythm).
in addition, it was difficult to drive to the basket without getting an offensive foul because a "no charge zone" was not present during the said time.

think of the things that nba made just to make an offensive players life more relaxing than for a defensive player. it make me feels like defensive player are now just there to be posterize without even challenging the offensive player.

not like during the old days!

    and also CP3........

then todays rules, dali ra kaayo motawag og flagrant foul..... back in the day foul songgo...

I can imagine seeing Dirk Nowitzki playing in MJ's time.. hehehe di cguro ni siya mo excel... maybe role player ra ni siya..
