^^Correct me if im wrong.. SF is a govt entity.. as i could remember... they gave me a govt receipt(kanang naay seal/logo sa cebu city)... naa sad to time nga dili OR ilang gi hatag.. mura ra kanang ma palit sa national bookstore... will these be properly audited or taxed?

Ako, ganahan kaayo ko mu apil sa sinulog... the colors, the festive vibe, the beat, its religious aspect and everything about it except for the OVER charging and poor implementation on guidelines and rules.

I'm not after to win, all i want on that week of festivities is to be a photographer that has paid on a well computed and worth it registration fee...

that's y im complaining... coz i really want to join the sinulog photo contest...

I dont remember na nag issue mi ug O.R na naay seal sa govt., can you bring it in the office pra makita namo kng naa ba gyud? and about anang temporary receipts na gi issue sa imoha is temp. o.r rjud ang ihatag as resibo sa excess photos esp. if gamay ra imong nabayaran kay kas sa resibo if tnan excess photos htagan ug o.r besides ig remit sa incharge ana ihapon na namo tnan naa sa temp. receipts nd excess na photos ig nag tugma ba that's why during sinulog mkuha mi ug additional staffs sa office like ticket sellers, sa photo contest, etc. pra dli ma bias kng kami mismo ang staff ang mangunay nd dli napud na mkaya namu kng kami ra tnan. So kng mag ask mo if audited na cya yes sir bec. every night ig remit sa incharge amo na e audit daun ang sales nila if na tugma ba nd diha nami mo issue ug o.r sa incharge nd they will keep it in a folder tnan o.r ug duplicate sa ilang o.r pra ig audit aftr the sinulog wla nay questions sa auditor.

Last Sinulog SFI earned P1.7M from photo contest registrations alone. The audit report was published in Sunstar (Group mulls ways to get more funds | Sun.Star) but it never mentioned paying out-of-town contingents. Ashmae_01's statement is indeed an eye-opener.

Expenses included food for the crowd control group during the grand parade (P3.9M), grand finale (P1.97M), launching parade and Best of Cebu (P1.15M), secretariat (P1.8M) and P6.2 million in ex-deal products.

I wonder what those "ex-deal" products were...

It's quite a revelation to know the NGO Sinulog Foundation (SF) has been giving away P100K to P150K just to participate in the Sinulog. What a shocker! All the while I was thinking street dancing contingents have donors footing their expenses, e.g. druglords, etc. It's a "now I know" and eye opener to see the ways and means SF handles Sinulog events. This is the only event or contest for that matter where contestants win P100K to P150K before judging.

Quite opposite to the Sinulog photo contest where participating fotogs already lose P1,000 or more before deliberation and before winners are announced. Well, this is just hoping fotogs will not think SF thumbs down whatever suggestions or feelers they make in spite of the millions it gets from so-called "registration fees".

Well, that's life and nothing is new. To look at the brighter side, Sinulog is an annual event or happens just once every year. Runners cough up P800 or more to participate weekly or monthly 10k events or longer.

Wow I'm also flushed +1 for this also LOLZ to know that street dancing participants expenses for things like costumes, food, etc. are already covered yeah it's the other way around for others like photogs where all expenses are on us.... whew well after hearing about this revelation 21 gun salute to SF for a job well done hope things will improve for the better in the future More power to SF More power to Sinulog.... Pit Senyor..... This shutter is for the Santo Ninyo....

Yup sir dako jud kaayong tabang sa uban esp. Sa financial assistance infact nag start nami krn ug hatag sa finanacial assistance sa sinulog sa kabataan sa dakbayan dn 1st week of december sa sinulog sa lalawigan nasad. Dli rman sad ang foundation nag need ug money bt also the participants na mo participate esp. The participants from public schools. I think nasuwat nana before sa newspaper bacn sa krn na year wla nla nbutang bt im sure isulti na during the presscon.

Those ex-deal products were given to the participants rpud esp. Sa festival queens, sinulog idols and to those schools na ni participate during the launching and nightly shows in fuente ky mostly sa ex-deals wer foods man mao na ang ipa dinner sa dancers nd staffs in fuente (nightly shows)
