The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Good = On a side note, the PNP has done their job by not letting the norwegian and the pinay to escape outside the country. We could see that they were into quick resolution of the problem. Who knows they could have been the real perpetrators.

Bad = But the worst thing happened was when they were not given a chance to prove their innocence and their evidences were neglected as the authorities are too sure enough that they got the real perpertrators according to the witnesses. Accordingly, the basis of pinpointing fingers were based on a close-to-real cartographic sketches and the assumption the kids will never lie. The kids may could have been under pressure to identify them as the abductors.

Ugly = The results turns out to be distressable.

May ella rest in peace in her coming memorial. And may the NBI resolve this case and get the real perpetrators to give the little angel and her family their sought-after justice.

Neighbors vouch for Pinay suspect in kidnap-slay

NEIGHBORS and workmates of Karen Castro Esdrelon, one of the principal suspects in the kidnap-slay of grade 1 pupil Ellah Joy Pique, describe the 24-year-old single mother as incapable of hurting children.
Thus, they could not believe she is being linked to the murder of the 6-year-old girl.
Esdrelon’s neighbors in Tuburan town in western Cebu said they last saw her and her Norwegian fiancé Sven Erik Berger on Friday, Feb. 11.
Rebie Tapdasan lives across the house of Esdrelon and her parents in Tuburan. He said that he saw the couple riding a motorcycle that Friday afternoon.
Tapdasan said it was impossible for Esdrelon to kidnap and kill a 6-year-old girl since she and her family are known as good people and are respected in their town.
Another neighbor, Elsa Capuyan, said that Esdrelon is known to be as a homebody who is seldoem seen going out.
Esdrelon became a registered nurse in 2008. As part of the Department of Labor and Employment’s NARS program, she became a volunteer nurse of Tuburan District Hospital and a part of the Rural Health Unit in the said town.
Dr. Ross Estoye, medical officer 3 of Tuburan District Hospital, said he knows Esdrelon to be a diligent and caring nurse.
He said they have not received any complaint of impoliteness or unruly behavior against Esdrelon.
Nazar, a brother of Esdrelon, said the couple arrived in Tuburan on Wednesday, Feb. 9 and spent their time in Tuburan going to mountains to take pictures because photography is one of Berger’s hobbies.
Nazar said the couple left on Saturday, Feb. 12 for the aiport en route to to Hongkong where they planned to spend Valentine’s Day.
Nazar said the entire family was shocked when Esdrelon called them up to say they were being held in custody at the airport.
He said they worry most about Berger’s physical condition because he just underwent an operation on his muscles in his arms and legs in Norway before coming to Cebu to visit Esdrelon.
Nazar said it was impossible for the couple to hurt a child because they both love kids. He said Berger has accepted Esdrelon’s three-year-old son like his own. Nazar said he is hopeful that Esdrelon and Berger will be freed and cleared of charges.
