You know what you and FranZeno have in common? When you read text, you read it SELECTIVELY kay klaro kaayo na may galit kayo or some kind of bias AGAINST Angelo Reyes, so the idea of him TRYING to die with honor ay hindi nyo kaya i-accept or kayang lunukin.

Now if you just keep an open mind, and also stick to the text of the article, it's plain to see that no matter what charges are filed against him, in his OWN MIND, he just wanted an honorable exit out of the situation. Some of you might ask "Eh if seppuku iyang gusto buhaton, gnanong pusil man iyang gigamit? Well think for a moment--if he actually committed REAL seppuku eh baka pagtawanan lang siya ng mga tao, kasi ba't naman nya gagawin yon eh hindi naman siya Japanese...so he decided to do it in a method that would still inflict a mortal wound, yet still "appear" to be an honorable military-esque death, at least in his mind.

In the military mind, Seppuku is a personal thing. It's an option that one can choose. Nobody chooses seppuku for you--it's either you want to do it, or not.

if a shooter were to take a target at that location, he will most likely choose a heart shot than a head shot.

a memorial park is open space. the wind will present a challenge in the scope correction. the head is too small.

the heart is the easier center of a human form as far as the target is seen in a scope reticule.

an expert shooter (like from FBI HRT or navy seal) would choose to shoot the head rather than the heart, why? because if the target had a gun, there's a chance he could still shoot & kill a hostage or anybody if he gets shot in the heart BUT if the target is shot in the head, all motor skills are promptly disabled.. so even if he had a finger on the trigger, he wont be able to pull the trigger after he is shot in the head..

now w/ regards to angelo reyes, statistics may show that most people would rather do suicide while shooting the head rather than the chest.. but, there's also reason he might not want to damage his face for the burial.. but i'm not discounting somebody might have shot him..

w/ regards to the corruption, it goes back to the time of marcos, remember honasan,enrile & ramos.. marocses' right hand BUT when the ship was sinking, change sides dayon, & how come these dudes had big businesses, rather too wealthy for somebody in the service.. then its that culture sa PMA, hazing & stuff unya kinsa ray maka bentaha kung sila na ang naa sa taas na position.. kung wala to masakpi ang anak ni garcia sa us airport, dili unta mabuking ang grabe na corruption
