Tallo started being varsity player at the age of 14 years old in Cebu Institute of Technology University. He was second high school. He was included in all star mythical five and Cesafi final mythical five (Pearce was the MVP that time). He joined the JR. NBA Camp and luckily selected as the Most Valuable Player of JR NBA Philippines and lead the squad in US.
In his 3rd year high school, he gave his CIT team the first championship ever (first time in history of CIT Basketball Junior Division) and he joined the mythical five and named as the Most Valuable player of CESAFI 2009-2010. Last June, 2010, again he won the Talk n Text MVP ng Bayan (Nationwide) held in Makati, Metro Manila.
