what these people did was not islam. they are the ones who turned thier back to Islam. this horrifying behaviour is not Islam, never been and will be, no matter what kind of self serving justification the terrorists use.

In October, 2005, Dr. Pape was interviewed at a roundtable discussion sponsored by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life about his research conclusions on whether Islamic extremism motivates terrorism. Pape discussed his findings with is interviewer:

The conventional wisdom is that suicide terrorism is motivated by religious fanaticism - religious hatred combined with the promise of a martyr's paradise in the hereafter. What does your own research suggest? The conventional wisdom is mostly wrong. Suicide terrorism is not mainly the product of Islamic fundamentalism or any other evil ideology independent of circumstance. I have studied 462 suicide terrorists; over half are secular. The world leader in suicide terrorism is the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka - they're a Marxist group, a secular group, a Hindu group. The Tamil Tigers have committed more suicide terrorist attacks than Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
Instead, what more than 95 percent of all suicide terrorist attacks since 1980 have in common is not religion, but a specific secular goal: to compel modern democracies to withdraw military forces from the territory the terrorists view as their homeland.
From Lebanon to Chechnya to Kashmir to Sri Lanka to the West Bank, every suicide terrorist campaign since 1980 has had as its main objective to compel a democratic state to withdraw combat forces from territory that the terrorists prize.
nice effort pigrah but not to disappoint you sister. This will only fall sa deaf ear, kay these people are not really here to LEARN but ila lang is they want to go BOOM. and when they are in that state, no amount of good reasoning can satisfy their RAGE. take for example si kebot...look at him, his like a ticking bomb.

    but good effort.

Nope, its not how the world goes, its always a cycle brad, just like the ecosystem... so, to have a healthy interaction... one must take and one must give.

"ang imo nalang buhaton kay ang mo sabot bisag Sakit"
-- dictating is a help but implying it is different story.

ms. pig this is not supposed to be your argument... let the man speak to himself....

    Things to Note:
    1. In ISLAMIC world politics and religion are merged.
    - "terrorist attacks since 1980 have in common is not religion "
this is political implication of the act. but remember "promise of a martyr's paradise in the hereafter" is a religions implication. Therefore, the act itself is political but fuelled with religious belief.

    2. From Lebanon to Chechnya to Kashmir to Sri Lanka to the West Bank, every suicide terrorist campaign since 1980 has had as its main objective to compel a democratic state to withdraw combat forces from territory that the terrorists prize.
    - Islamic countries are the hotbed of terrorism.
Right now, what I had seen is [b]NOT[b] that same objective: withdrawal of combat forces, but rather a conflict betwee shi'ite and sunni. Whatever the conflict is its fuelled by thier religious FAITH.
