lets give nicole the benefit of doubt.. maybe she thought she was raped... maybe smith thought she's just easy... maybe she's easy but not that kind of easy...
maybe in the end she felt she had it coming... most rape victims feel that way...
its called culture barrier... hahahaha! malay ba ni nicole na gang bus diay ang style... baka hindi nya plan yung ganun na style.. baka gusto nya ng clean hotel rooms... in the end she felt degraded... but also one to be blamed..
ang ako lang masulti dah! nganong naa sa ingon atong lugar!
Funny for people like you because you can get away with crimes easily here in the Philippines.Thats why Im in favor of the revision or even the abolition of VFA so that there will be lesser cases of abuse involving your people here in the country.Remember also that your rapist is not totally free from his crime. There are so many discripancies in Nicoles' latest affidavit.“Under the law on evidence applicable in the Philippines and the United States,”an affidavit is hearsay unless the other party is accorded the right to cross-examine the affiant.”
Well... whatever makes people like you sleep at night. Fact is, wala sya na sexually raped. if you don't believe it then go personally to Subic and interview everyone there. Coz last time I was there, NOBODY believed she was raped. It wasn't even a big issue there. But ur still right, she was RAPED, but not by Smith.... but by Gabriella and people like you. Coz you forcefully impose your own will on someone just to get what you want and get satisfaction on achieving it.
And by the way, your the one who said VFA first, so there... there's your motive. Your too much of a racist against Americans that you can't decipher between real-life fact and that sick reality in your head.
And my people? That's right, you don't live here... So don't act so self-righteous coz you clearly have no idea what its like in this hellhole called the Philippines
Godsaint, what's more puzzling to me than your obtuse view of this entire event is your decision to purposely misspell my name in your posting. If you were unsure of the correct spelling, you could have simply re-read my post. My name is clearly depicted in the upper left of each of my posts. But then again, you don't strike me as being the kind of fella who is particularly interested in details.. Say, when you get a chance, please look up "corpus delicti" in the dictionary.. It's an interesting concept that has to do with "proof that a crime has been committed". Interesting stuff (maybe not so important to you, but it's at the foundation of any criminal proceeding). Would you be so adamant that Smith still go to prison (even after the victim recants) if he was a Filipino? Should a person's nationality be considered in a rape trial?
It wasn’t rape, but a spontaneous, unplanned romantic episode stirred by alcoholic drinks. This was the ruling of the Court of Appeals acquitting Lance Cpl. Daniel Smith of raping a Filipino woman code-named Nicole on Nov. 1, 2005 at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone...

CA: Smith not guilty of rape - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos
The source is Inquirer.net but I've also seen this in national TV last night. I haven't seen anyone starting this thread yet so I am. I wanna hear your reactions on this matter especially that this event happened after the controversial affidavit filed by Nicole (obtained by Daniel Smith's lawyer).
Philippine justice system...what's new? Sayang lang effort sa ni defend sa case before, pag tuga2x og kiha ang victim nya d ra diay kasugagod... in the first iya bayang sala coz ni ad2 party nya ga inom2x...
