    Hot Chocolate

    2-3 tsp of Cocoa powder
    5-6 tsp of white sugar
    a dash of salt
    1 cup of milk or half and half (half milk half water)
    1/4 tsp vanilla

    mix cocoa powder, sugar and salt in a mug. pour hot milk on the mixture then add the vanilla. stir. Enjoy!

    Ube Fruit Cream Pie


    You'll Need
    1 can (439 g) DEL MONTE Fiesta Fruit Cocktail, well-drained (reserve syrup)
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin, dissolved in 3 tbsp fruit cocktail syrup
    2 packs (125 ml each) DEL MONTE Fruit Salad Cream, chilled
    3 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp calamansi juice
    1 cup ube preserve
    1/3 cup rice crispies or toasted pinipig

    Here's How
    1 HEAT gelatin until just dissolved. Set aside.

    2 USING a wooden spoon, mix DEL MONTE Fruit Salad Cream until well blended. Add confectioner’s sugar gradually. Add in vanilla and calamansi juice. Beat well.

    3 FOLD in gelatin and ube preserve. Pour onto springform pan and chill until fully set. Top with half of rice crispies then DEL MONTE Fiesta Fruit Cocktail. Chill for 1 hour. Unmold and coat sides with remaining rice crispies.

    Serves 12 Rich in Vitamin C

    Cassava-Piña Bibingka

    You'll Need:
    3 cups grated cassava
    2 pc eggs
    1-1/2 cups white sugar
    3/4 tbsp iodized fine salt
    1-1/2 tbsp butter or margarine
    1-1/2 cups thick coconut milk
    1 can (439 g) DEL MONTE Fresh
    Cut Crushed Pineapple,
    well drained
    1/3 cup pure coconut milk

    Here's How:


    1. Squeeze liquid from grated cassava. Set aside. Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt and butter. Mix well. Stir in coconut milk, grated cassava and DEL MONTE Fresh Cut Crushed Pineapple. Pour into a greased 8" X 8" square pan.

    2. Bake in a preheated oven at 350oF for 55 minutes, or until light brown in color. Pour pure coconut milk on top. Bake for another 5 minutes, or until top becomes golden brown.


    MAKES 12 SERVINGS.
    COST: P 77.00 per recipe

    Mixed-Fruit Smoothies



    Ingredients
    2 bananas, chilled
    2/3 cup strawberries or mango slices
    1 12-ounce can grape juice or mango, apricot, strawberry, or other fruit nectar, chilled
    1 8-ounce carton fat-free yogurt
    1 tablespoon honey (optional)
    2 tablespoons ground pistachio nuts (optional)

    Directions
    In a blender combine bananas, strawberries or mango slices, grape juice or fruit nectar, yogurt, and, if desired, honey. Cover and blend until smooth. Pour into six tall, chilled glasses. If desired, sprinkle with ground pistachio nuts. Makes 6 smoothies.
    Note: For two-tone smoothies, make mango smoothies and strawberry smoothies. Transfer to separate pitchers or glass measuring cups. Taking a pitcher or cup in each hand, slowly pour both smoothies at the same time into opposite sides of the glass.

    FERNA FLAVORED OTAP

    DOUGH
    Ingredients
    Bread flour-------------------------------------500 grams
    FERNA IODIZED SALT------------------------7.5 grams
    Refined sugar----------------------------------50 grams
    EAGLE INSTANT DRY YEAST------------------2.5 grams
    Bread improver--------------------------------2 grams
    FERNA PRIMERA CHOCOLATE FLAVOCOL---17 grams
    Water-------------------------------------------275 grams

    Mix all the ingredients until a good dough is formed. Set aside.

    BUTTER MIX
    Ingredients
    FERNA BUTTINA BUTTER SUBSTITUTE----------100 grams
    Soft flour-------------------------------------------50 grams

    Blend the two ingredients, divide into four. Set aside.

    ASSEMBLY
    1. Form the dough into a rectangle. Spread one part of butter mix, fold and then roll. Repeat the procedure three more times. The last fold must be rolled as thin as possible.
    2. Roll the dough into a baston. Rest for 10-15 minutes.
    3. Cut crosswise (10g/pc, or as per desired weight). Flatten and sprinkle sugar on one side. Rest for 30-45 minutes.
    4. Bake at 3500F for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

    @shanak: Sarciado means "full of sarsa" or "full of sauce".

    Here is an example of an sarciado recipe courtesy of Del Monte.



    Fish Sarciado

    You'll Need
    3/4 k (11 pcs) dalagang bukid (black tailed caesio)
    6 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 medium (50 g) onion, sliced
    1 pouch (200 g) DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce
    1-1/2 cups water
    1 pc egg, beaten

    Here's How
    1 SPRINKLE fish with 1 tsp. iodized fine salt (or 1 Tbsp. iodized rock salt). Fry until golden brown. Set aside.

    2 SAUTÉ garlic and onion. Add DEL MONTE Tomato Sauce, water, 1/2 tsp. iodized fine salt (or 1/2 Tbsp. iodized rock salt) and dash of pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

    3 ADD egg then simmer for 3 minutes, or until set. Pour over fish.


    Serves 11 Rich in Lysine



    In this recipe, ang minantikaan nga isda, gibutangan og daghan nga sarsa. So... mao ni ang Isdang Sarciado.
