Senior Technical Engineer
To provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, mechanically and electromechanically, ranging from small component designs to extremely large projects. To work on all stages of a product, from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning.
The Senior Technical Engineer is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics.
Confirms systems and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods; testing properties.
Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating,building, assembling, and installing components.
Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
Maintains system and product data base by writing computer programs/systems and entering relevant data.
Discusses & solves complex problems with production departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers;
Completes project on time by closely coordinating with engineering, design & production teams.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and attending workshops approved by management.
Other duties and projects as required by the CEO.
Essential:
10 years experience in structural/mechanical system design, particularly of Drilling/Accommodation jack up rigs.
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Excellent design and conceptual skills.
Strong in requirement analysis & in presenting technical information.
Experience in equipment maintenance.
Excellent general consulting , control engineering, and production planning skills.
Must be a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player, but be able to work on own initiative.
Senior Hydraulic Engineer
To work on projects ranging from hydraulic power units to complex hydraulic systems through all phases of the project including conceptualization, estimate, design, integration, installation and implementation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The Senior Hydraulic Engineer is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
Technical design and review of hydraulic schematics, drawings and other Engineering documents relative to the design and fabrication of power units.
Provide documentation necessary to build and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including but not limited to schematics, bills of material, general arrangement drawings, test procedures, etc.
Review in detail customer supplied specifications and supporting documentation
Design and / or assist in the design of hydraulic power units and systems.
Analyzing requests, proposals, schematics, drawings and other Engineering documents to determine the technical integrity and feasibility of hydraulic systems.
Evaluate product data and design for conformance to customer requirements and quality standards ,
Coordinate and prepare design reviews for customers.
Coordinate and supervise testing in support of manufacturing.
Work closely with sales or directly with the customer to gain an understanding of their hydraulic needs.
Support Machine Shop personnel in troubleshooting complex hydraulic systems.
Other duties and projects as required by the CEO.
Essential:
Degree in Engineering Science or a related field (equivalent field experience will be considered in place of a degree)
Proficient 3D software skills, preferably with Inventor software.
Ability to read hydraulic and / or pneumatic schematics.
Strong fabrication experience, preferably related to fluid systems.
Good electrical knowledge.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Design, Sales and Production personnel.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
