I am mentioning this coz a Catholic priest has specific functions in the diocese and cannot go beyond his given job. There are specific rules discipline, and instructions to follow in the church hierarchy.
A Catholic priest cannot hold "healing sessions"...period...bisan FREE pa na...just like the case of Catholic priests wanting to marry, they should get dispensation from the Pope if they want to do other things outside the boundaries of priesthood...
He's a Canada-based priest pala. how can he be so arrogant and disrespectful sa atoang patakaran dinhi? even if his healing sessions are seen on a very positive note to some people, he should have taken the respectable step of "dispensation" first so as not to violate the instruction of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith on prayers...
if he wants to form a "cult", fine. he will be just like another version of fr. apollo quiboloy...
as what i see it, he is just using "healing sessions" as a guise for selfish motives. he is also taking advantage of the filipino's gullibility & too-religious mentality...
i have seen "radical" priests going from being an "NPA sympathizer", to "running priest", and to being "son of God in Davao". but this one tops it all...
So because this is not sanctioned by the Pope, the healing mass is an illegal service?
Hahahahahahaa, pagka way sure gyud.
This scenario is just like when Jesus Christ was healing on a Sabbath day and what did the pharicees and sadduceess say? "why is he healing when it is a Sabbath day?
diba familiar?

Have you even met the guy? how can you say that when he is doing so many good things in the name of God and the Catholic Faith?
it is just insane to even not trust your fellow Catholic.
When he first arrived in the Philippines, i even mistook him for being gay because he is very soft spoken, so gentle and always reserved. then he began telling his story and i was amazed by his life.
let's get back to the issue on being sanctioned by the Pope.
So even if he is doing this in representation of the Catholic Faith, it is not legal because the Pope didn't say go? (where is that in the Bible)
I think it is a big leap to even call him a cult leader right now. remember he is a Catholic Priest. a little respect please. let's not start naming our priests, as cult leaders or con artists.
for me he has no hidden motives but to minister. As long as he acknowledges his ower is God's and not his own then there is no need to worry about anything.
The Bible tells us to minister to one another, it also talks about healing. Jesus Christ himself sends out his disciples to heal, to minister and to cast out demons.
once again this is another issue of how the Catholic church as an insitution (take onote, As an institution) tries to override the Bible, which we also use.
to me it is very contradicting. maka lilibog. no wonder so many people out there do not believe and no longer believe in God.
