I agree with your post Chona1. There are no clear rules on deleting topics.

I have 2 topics that were deleted as well. I do not mind those senseless topics or similar ones that i had started being deleted but not these two.

It was regarding a hospital in Cebu and anomalies of supermarkets. It went on for a while and many people had already posted but now i cannot find it.

I do not mind any sitekeeper or moderator taking it off but an explenation would at least show some respect as these topics are posted for a reason.

Now, if this reason has offended the person that deleted it, then he/she should PM me as there was no intention to hurt anyone.

I am not sure if the topics i posted were offensive.

I expected a lot from whoever deleted it and wished that the topic was judged more fairly.

As 3 other Istoryans and I were talking, there seems to be a little favoratism or as my friend in YM said, maybe a little jealousy as some topics worth deleting (double/similar topics, senseless posts) are not being deleted. even with the request from another istoryan to delete it.

If Istorya is a place where we can voice out our opinions, feelings and emotions then it should stay that way and that bounderies be defined more clearly.

On that hospital in Cebu topic - are you sure it wasn't merged with other topics? Anomalies of Supermarkets - was it the one where a staff puts something in your grocery back just before you check out? We don't normally delete threads so I'm sure it's around here somewhere. Have you used the Search feature?

I don't think there's that sort of thing from the Moderators/Sitekeepers/Admins. Why would we become jealous or envious of topics posted by members? Just doesn't sound right. and I don't think the mods are playing favorites. Let's not jump into conclusions lang pud.

here's what you and I can do. Let's use the Search feature. You can sweep the areas you can reach and i will do the same for areas that are restricted to members. If those topics were deleted, Im sure they're in a thread only mods can access. What you do is use words you posted under those topics as your keyword - if in case those topics were merged with existing topics.

Ok i will try again? Don't get me wrong on the Jelousy accusation. i didn't mean it that way. Of course mods have a good sense of judgement if not, who would need them...
