why on earth would you want users to have admin rights on a server that is running as domain controller, mail and web server.

if you want to grant a user (probably a newly hired admin) admin rights but you dont know whats the root pwd, thats perfectly ok. but if you dont know what youre trying to do and most especially dont know what the consequences are, if that aint stupidity i dont know what to call it anymore

ill put it bluntly bai ha, you could be an ordinary user or a disgruntled employee trying to get back at his employer. the fact that you dont know root pwd betrays the fact that youre not designated to manage that server. even if i know the solution to your problem i would never even think of helping you. i manage windows and RHEL servers as a profession. theres no way im giving out password or admin rights to users because i know how missing files, crashed applications/database servers, server misconfiguration can wreck my day. nice try bai.

Try ug install ug sudo(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudo).
