best wifi router brand?

Belkin and Linksys have been very good to me. I have both including a Belik 54g router that is several years old. My Netgear DSL router w/ WiFi still works, but refuses to finish negotiating a link with my old DSL provider.

WRT54GS Version 1-3 then flash it with ddwrt and turn a $50 router into a $500 router :mrgreen:

Yes go for Netgear... Swap mo na linksys yan its gives you a head ache geeeee.

so youve tried netgear with globe broadband connection??

belkin is expensive but very stable. linksys have this habit of freezing up from time to time.

please help how did you set it up?

@springbok have you tried my suggestion sa imo other post? naka problema ko ingana atong insight pa ako provider kinahanglanun ang original mac address gamitun para ma authenticate nila. mao to ako solution ako gi clone mode ang router, solved.
btw i have never tried linksys's original firmware cause when i bought mine, flashed it right away to ddwrt.

hmmm.. have you tried contacting globe? do they need the original lan mac address from your account for authentication? if so try setting the router to clone your computers mac address.

Yup.. no problem..with PLDT, GLOBE, Bayantel, Smartbro & Mozcom.

I just read the user manual from Netgear. Follow those Steps start to finished.

where did you buy it ? (linksys)

you have to change the item (linksys) within 3 days ( depends their exchange rules). so you can swap the netgear. if not, linksys make you trouble.

Did you read the terms and conditions from PCX? No need to exchange its only 3 days to change item. No need to worry.. here in istorya they will help your router to set ip up.
