bati ang movie, especially if wa mo kabasa sa libro

=> director Chris Weitz went through hell sa New Line
Chris is a talented filmmaker/screenwriter and would have made this movie another phenomenal sensation.

Chris wrote a 185-page script adaptation of this movie nya wa ganahi ang New Line kay they don't want to make a 3-hour movie, Chris threatened to back out.. but for some reasons he continued..so they hurriedly cut out some important scenes => ang result kay murag fragmented na movie that the concepts did not properly seep throughout.

plus after New Line's test audience reacted to the down ending, they cut a whole big chunk at the end, which would have been the real climax.. so if they make the sequel: the subtle knife -> it will start with someone's death.. that is if they make the two more sequels!

In the end, it is the business itself of making movies that will destroy and/or erode great movie ideas.

Terribly disappointing. Though the animals were cute (the bears were too in a terrifying manner). If there was even a hint of a climax, I sure didn't notice it (err.. double-entendre). It seemed I sat there for only 5 minutes. It's sad because the actors were actually good and lovable (Nicole Kidman, Eva Green), pero wa gihapon ni work ang movie. Oh well.

Dili man siguro "sayang" because at least you were informed of how others felt when they saw it.

Also, basig diay they have a different taste in movies than you? Perhaps what they like or dislike is not the same as your likes and dislikes in a movie. So in the end, it is still your decision whether to watch or not.
