Hey thanks for checking in. OK now for the beans of this build the main PC. As far as I can remember all of my workstations and/or gaming PC were all loving hand built by me. I always loved that satisfaction of pressing that ON button and seeing your hard work boot up on screen...oh what a feeling. So this time I was ready to go for it but with all of the hardware price drama and lack of stock of some items this past year made it a little more challenging to put together this time. Can I get a Amen!!!

So long story short. I decided that for this crazy setup I will be knocking on the doors of MAINGEAR PC. MAINGEAR is an innovative high performance PC system builder that offers custom desktops and much much more of course. I have been following this company from the beginning and to me they are one of the most innovative high performance PC builders in the US today. One of the reasons I have not placed my order yet is because I've been waiting for some NEW components be released very soon. That would be a bummer to buy your new PC and then a month later a new more powerful comes out. This is the dilemma I'm in at the moment. So by doing more research work and being very patient the time to order this bad boy is coming very, very soon. I can almost smell it. Mmmmmmmm that new PC smell.

Just a note the list below is still a working list. Some items may change and I'll point that out on the list if I can. Once I start the order I'll be posing some question to MAINGEAR PC to fine tune the finale build. More on that later and I hope you all will join this crazy adventure of mine.

Thanks for your feedback butitoy and boang3000, and your right butitoy I will be going the Intel route this time. Maybe next build AMD I still love ya. If any of you guys are wondering how many balots I would need to sell to get this PC you can click the link below and configure it for yourself, and it's a whole lot of fun too. Just an added note this MAINEAR RUSH PC starts at $5194.00 before configuration. How much did your setup cost? Pls post below.

Welcome back everybody. Just a little correction butitoy, the Intel Optane is a M.2 drive but on a PCI card configuration the one offered by MG (MAINGEAR PC) will be the Samsung 960 Pro a dedicated 1TB drive that will go on the motherboard, no need to take up a PCI slot. The Asus Rampage VI Extreme board is equipped with a M.2 mount that can hold up to TWO M.2 drives plus one more directly on the board itself. Yes a possible three way NVME M.2 orgy. Can't help it with all this hardware porn all over the place. OK with that said, is also one of the reasons I have not placed an order with MG yet. Through some correspondence with MG I'm just waiting for them to receive the new Samsung 970 PRO which was just released very recently. Can you blame me for future proofing the build. Now I think most of you are wondering again "only a 1TB drive". Well I will be adding NAS setup and also maybe 2-3 Samsung T5 2TB portable drive to the mess. I'm also doing it this way to protect my data as in only plug in when needed and stored away when not in use.

Remember that Item that was delayed, well I got it the other day. Sorry no post but I have a good reason. I got me a Beanbag!!!(Insert Minion "Whaaat") Yes, I said a beanbag but this is a very cool one. I needed a few days to actually let the thing expand and now that it has all I can say is WOW!!! Got this from SUMOLounge.com and this one I got weighted in at 75 lbs and when fully expanded measures 6' x 6' x 3'. BTW the one I got is the Sumo Gigantor.

    Pics coming next.....

That drive is a total monster. How did I miss that one, thanks for the heads up butitoy. I hope that will be an option when I place my order soon. I went with the 960 PRO cause I needed at least 1TB for the primary drive. So much stuff to load. But I can't afford to wait any longer for this last piece to complete The War Station. This will be my main production PC with some gaming on the side of course. So I promised myself I would have this all done by the end of this year. So please send me all your positive forces, I could use all the help I can get. Salamat Po.

OK as promised, some pictures of my new SUMO beanbag. I needed a few days to get it all expanded and all I can say is WOW!!! This thing is big! I even tried some flying WWF move on it...so cool and very comfy. As you can see they came in TWO very neat and compact packages. The smaller beanbag is what they called a OTTO. Their version of a beanbag foot rest. They were just as fun opening them and seeing them expand like that.

    Later...The Female Test!!!

    The packages.....oh so colorful.

    Fully expanded.

Here is just a current random shot of the setup thus far. I'm still working things around.

    Next........My Chair.

Hey fellow geeks, welcome back. OK I may have jumped the gun on the "My Chair" thing but I really got so excited thinking I had some stuff coming in for the chair that I wanted to share with you all. But reality set in and as always some slight delays happened. So if tracking is confirmed all that stuff should be in my hands by tomorrow. In the mean time I guess I can show a sneak preview of what's coming in for this chair.

The Engineered Now H4 Headrest Ergonomic Add-on. It's the left one in the image (not my picture) below. The one on the right is a headrest designed by Atlas for Herman Miller which I currently am using and I really love this design.

Yes I got some casters but look how cool these casters are. Sorry for geeking out their. Anyhow, these are the Mockett CA63CB Hubless Casters which I got in all Black. I feel like Tron now. Shout out if you think I should have gotten the Red ones.

When these items all come in I will do a full on post on this chair's current evolution and why I did what I did to the chair. Should be very soon I can smell it.

Remember my big beanbag from SUMO well something else came in. The Koncept Z-Bar Gen 3 Desk Lamp. I ordered mine with the wall mount attachment for easy installation on the 80/20 aluminum beams. I'm still fine tuning the right placement of the LED lamp on the rig and so far it seems one lamp covers most of the area I need light on. I guess since I ordered two Z-Bar lamps I have one more on backup mode.

Also picked up the optional Occupancy Sensor. Motion sensor and fully dimmable...me likey!!!

    Salamat Po, for stopping by

Competition!!! Just kidding. Lew's setup is very impressive and he's got an cooler for drinks and a snack cart too, I have NO chance. What do you guys think? Would love to here your opinion....really!!! What more can I do to improve this setup? Comment below please. TY

Now for the question of the day, thank you sir thewicked46. For the most resent images I'm using my humble Note 8. Wish I had a DSLR but my little Note 8 seems to be doing OK so far. Love the dual lens and the low light options are very good. I'm still learning more on this and if you have any suggestion please let me know.

The "Chair" post is coming up very soon. I just (yesterday) got the headrest in and needed a day or so to see how this all fits and of course to get some images. So that is come shortly. So stay tuned boys and gals. I'll be bak...
