what do u mean wen u say "proven"?? what has he proven?
it means that the subject has been able to demonstrate a proof of what he can do and for this instance, it is a stud dog, so it means he has proven to produce offspring from mating a female dog of its kind.

yes, you have the points there, but the word "proven" is not exclusively limited as an adjective. It could be universal as to how you are going to use it for, for this dog since his first batch of puppies aren't old yet enough to join any dog shows and for some other new owners aren't interested to have it shown - thus the word "proven" applies only to describe that he was able to prove that he can produce if not champions yet, at least healthy puppies.
