15 “If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.

The if word really matters a lot.

The purpose of church discipline is to restore the believer into holiness, which all believer is called into. Dapat unta ang attitude is with humility and repentance dili arrogance.

Sa 1 Cor.5:13 bitaw isa ka member sa church wa nag repent padayon gihapon sa iyang immorality, Paul commanded them to remove that person from their midst. Nasubo bitaw ko kato na viral na pari na gikasab-an tong babae na nabuntis unya way bana. Dakong binuang kay ang pari pay nadisiplina. Klaro kaayo ang instruction ni Pablo kang Timoteo "Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning". Problema gud sa tao ron mas molaban man sa tao kay sa molaban sa Ginoo. Malain ta nga madaot ang dungog sa tao pero mura ra tag wala kon madaot ang dungog sa Ginoo tungod sa mga gipangbuhat sa tao nga niangkon nga Christian pero ang binuhatan salawayon.

Kanang rebuke2x... sa maka una raman na ug sa masakpan. Nindot ang theme anang church punishment... Pero mismo ang mga church leaders pod kay utro sinful... some are even more sinful sa ilang ge rebuke...

Take note for example... There is this certain cebuano businessman / contractor. He said prior to putting up a business, nang huwam siya ug 2 Million Pesos sa iyang tito nga Monsignor.

Sa akong huna2x... How can a Monsignor have a money of 2.0 Million or more? He is not a businessman or a priest is not allowed to have business. I thought naay Vow of Chastity ang mga priest?

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.

This is one of the most misapplied verses together with Matt.7 as a defense by "believers" those who don't want to repent. If judging is wrong then we can just tear Jn.7, 1 and 2 Cor, Rom 16, 1Jn.4 and many other books/passages from our bibles. The Lord did not teach against judging in the context of discernment but in the context of condemnation. It's clear in the second phrase "do not condemn". We are to judge between right and wrong, it's not forbidden, it's even encouraged by the Lord. How can we know that a brother is in error and how can we correct them, as taught by the Lord himself couple of chapters later in Matt.18, if don't judge between right and wrong? In church discipline we are not to condemn a person but admonish him and guide him so he will be restored to fellowship if he repents. The ultimate goal of church discipline is the restoration of a fellow believer. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church?

Do not associate. Do not treat in the same way you used to. Ayaw hunonga sa first sentence bai kay naa pai ikaduha. Ayaw e chop-chop akong gisulti. If you take that two statements masabtan ra man na not associate in the same way you associate sa mga di gahig ulo. Akong pasabot tingali.
