Sadly, the laws are there but apparently no one is there to enforce and uphold these. We need the police to be present, visible and patrolling the city so that any victim of such petty crimes can immediately approach, declare his/her case, and request immediate violation.

We need policemen and policewomen to go under cover or 'plainclothes' in public areas and transport to witness and apprehend such violaters.

Other than these corrective measures, there are preventive actions that protect one's personal dignity particularly for women. One is as much as possible to never travel alone, especially at night. Another to be alert and aware so as to be prepared that these situations CAN happen so avoid such situations that may lead to it.

Don't be a victim. It is in every one's right to protect one's own integrity and self-respect
