the way the title of this thread is crafted is leaning on both being tricky and sterile at the same time.

tricky because, it seems to shut down explosive clash of opinions. it is only asking whether one believes or not. it stops there.

sterile because, all fertile possibilities to delve deeper is minimized right at the outset. if this is chess, this is a one square pawn move in the opening.

in reality, Karma is only one face of the same coin. it should be, Karma AND Reincarnation. These two go hand in hand. the reason for Reincarnation is Karma, and Karma is there to be completed with Reincarnation

the thing is, the existence of Karma, and with that, Reincarnation, is not subject to belief. they exist whether you believe or not.

@tophat, maybe pasabut ni TS, is the everyday karma. Like you did a good deed, then mabawsan pud ka'g maayu in few hours/days/months/years. "Do unto others yadi yada.." Not sure unsa jud saktong terminology, but it seems mao man ang general idea sa thread.

OnT: di ko mo-tuo'g karma, because I don't need any recognition or reward from others or from supernatural force. I do good things, because it feels good. Di na kelangan og reward or expect something good will happen. Because we control our fate through our daily decisions. Good or bad karma, we must face it.
