Palit sad daw ta ana beh. Eheh
by the way, ang stock HDD sa business grade notebooks sa Lenovo kay HGST... no idea ko if mao ba ni gamit nila gyud sa tanan business notebooks sa IBM/Lenovo... sa akoang IBM Thinkpad T60 and X60 before and Lenovo Thinkpad X230 karon kay HGST ang HDDs nila...
if 2 TB lang na HGST Enterprise grade SATA HDD, naa pero, pricewise, mahal tungod sa intended market segment nya. no idea ko pila dha's Cebu pero diri nako, tag 839 rmb (6K php equivalent)... mahal2x gyud...
akoang ma suggest kay check Hitachi's 2 TB 7200 rpm desktop grade HDD. kani, barato ra ni sila. mao ni gamit nko sa akoang FreeNAS servers... for bench mark, tag 459 rmb ni sya diri (3.3K php)...

Nutech kuno bro as posted by TS...
regular drive ra na sya.
sa gi post ni TS, the mentioned drive is a HGST Ultrastar A7K2000 drive... if this is true, as shared sa link (1st page), this drive is not an ordinary desktop drive but an Enterprise level...
HGST desktop level HDDs are the Deskstar models... gamay ra ta'g mapili-an na capacity aning desktop variants kay focus ang HGST sa mobile & Enterprise level HDD markets. unlike sa Corporate owner which is WD na nag carry and cater a wide variety of target markets on the mech drive... then for the digital storage side, WD now owns SanDisk...
ops, i'll correct my statement above, Ultrastar model is not limited to enterprise level HDD pud diay... mao pud ni'g gigamit sa Performance desktop HDDs but w/out the function of a full RAID compatible set-up...

need lang ug check gyud unsa ang actual model sa drive...

2k for enterprise drive? when uban sources x2 selling price and regular hdd gkan other brands is 400+ higher? . ingon ang TS na walay gihatag model number and serial ang sales, mao nag search lang sya 1TB hgst and mao na iya na search, not actual model na baligya.
better confirm nalang TS, ayaw na huwata next week kai if indeed "higher" models ni than regular hdd hurot na ni dayon, regardless if these are old stocks from hgst(before merge blah thingie) or new.
naa'y times na mag promo ang Company na ang mga enterprise HDD, the same ug price (or lower) than their desktop counterparts. i'll site one example... before, WD lowered the prices of ther Enterprise level HDDs... the RE3 and RE4 in particular. but, no idea ko if mao ba ni ang case sa mga sellers dha's Pinas on WD RE HDDs during that time...
diri sa mainland China, sa ato na time, ang 2 TB RE4 kay the same ug price sa WD Green... karon, naa'y mga shops pa diri na nag baligya'g mga RE series HDDs na the same price range sa Green & Blue...
ug kaning ka kiat pud sa mga maro na sellers, ang mga HDD na gi refurbished like the Green drives na nag lunop man ni sauna, gi ilisan ug RE2-GP HDD stickers... then saka ang price inig baligya kay lagi, RE2-GP naman kuno. toinks... pero, makit-an nato kun mag check ta kay ang firmware na gi gamit sa drive itself, kay sa Green drive man. dili man compatible sila sa RE2-GP... on the data throughput, ang RE2-GP ug ang Green Caviars kay mao2x ra man... sa mailad lang... tsk tsk tsk...
with regards to price sales, not-in-the-philippines.
