that would be so nice of you sir dab_s_bad
helping out also as we can ^_^
^_^, mayta dili dugay ang download , most likely ugma pako makahatag feedback ani, from installation to making it work with screenshot sa VC
thats nice....
humana kog download...
dili ka-ayo ko kahatag nice nga info basin
note: wala ko naka-try sa audio ani via hdmi
downloaded and installed ubuntu desktop 64bit without internet connection using a GT630 pcie nvidia video card.
video card display used was dvi to vga converter, works out of the box.
tried putting in my mini hdmi to hdmi converter pero guba-on ang ako cable == no dispaly on screen
pero..., kung imo tan-awn sa display properties, ma-detect ang TV.
used also dvi to hdmi converter attached to the TV (see screenshot below)
to summarize..., using ubuntu 14 LTS edition with a not so recent VC will work out of the box...

kung naa pa gyud kay extra time bro dabs, pwede magpa tudto sa driver installation?
ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit sad akong os.
its hell for installation...
you need to follow this guide: Ubuntu 14.04 install NVIDIA driver - Ask Ubuntu
I'll try to make some small revision of it here also [I can't guarantee it will work ]:
first, "Enable the Universe and Multiverse repositories": https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu
open a terminal, execute these commands first [although this is indicated in the last section, it is needed aron dili mulabad imo ulo ug samot]
latest nvidia installer for linux as of September 17, 2015 is this link: NVIDIA DRIVERS Linux x64 (AMD64/EM64T) Display DriverCode:sudo apt-get install dkms fakeroot build-essential linux-headers-generic
info sa imo i-download..., dayon tan-awa sa "supported products" if na-a ba diri ang imo card/chip
remember where you save this one, specially its 'exact' location.Code:Version: 352.41 Release Date: 2015.8.28 Operating System: Linux 64-bit Language: English (US) File Size: 73.6 MB
on the terminal again, execute these:
and then these [if file does not exist, create it]:Code:sudo apt-get remove nvidia* && sudo apt-get autoremove
and add these to that fileCode:gksudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf
save then exit...Code:blacklist nouveau blacklist lbm-nouveau options nouveau modeset=0 alias nouveau off alias lbm-nouveau off
then execute this one
after this code, proceed with what the rest of the tutorial asksCode:update-initramfs -u
hopefully this works for you...
labad bah?..., hope not
btw, am not using ubuntu, am using gentoo/funtoo..., mas higher pa sa level sa sung-go bro, malumos gyud ka
