It's because they think it's government indoctrination. If you believe the earth is round like what the "man" says, then you'll believe anything. A state of helpless ignorance that can be easily controlled. Conforming robot, mental slave, yada yada..

Belief is the end of reason. Maybe this will help.

Many people are not interested in facts or reality. Instead., they are interested in their own feelings

If an idea feels good to them that is enough to believe it is worth dedicating their reputation and in

some cases their lives to promoting that idea.

    ---

When one of these people (the feeling folks) is fed facts that point out their position is a mistake they

don't change their position. Instead, they accuse the messenger of trying to deceive them. Perhaps they

accuse the messenger of conspiring against them and their friends. They will do anything to hold on to

their belief rather than adjust it to match someone else's version of reality.

    *Cheers!

It seems to me that people looks for facts that support their ideas and miss out

of the more stimulating way of engaging with ideas that challenge their thoughts

and when they come accross ideas that are contray to what they belive instead of

re-evaluating their idea to see if it is still valid or needs modification they will instead

    resist or dismiss it.

sa aq nga part, aq mn na gi search boss.
actually, ang pag search nq ana nga belief nila is something about evaluating that idea dba?
pero, it doesn't make sense lng para sa akoa not because kay opposite cya sa previous
nko nga idea nga nahibaw.an about ana nga matter pero mag depende mn gd na if
    convincing pud na nga idea.

before ta mo tuo ug idea nga something new para nato for the first time, naa man gud tay kaugalingon natong
basehan. kaugalingong pagtimbang2x ana nga idea.

mura rag religion ba, it depends if asa ta convinced mao nang naa joy laing taw nga madani sa uban

    so ana ra na cya.

opinion ra pud nuon na nako boss. peace. thanks
