but yes the waiver sounds good. hehe.

Actually, i started at 4.5ghz oc at 1.12v+ temps still reached 80c - 95c and sometimes 100c in about 10 mins.

Based on that I tried 4.7ghz and temps only increased very little so I went with it.

I've thoroughly read a 600+ posts thread at an intel forum and have followed their guidelines on how to properly overclock Devil's canyon. So far I have similar core clock and core voltages with most people in the forum. As for the temps, almost pareha ra sad.

Ang suggestion nla is to Delid.

I just bought this proc last feb2015.

Kita npd ko sa mga vid and di man au lisod i follow. Also i am a DIY guy and would prefer to do things myself if kaya ra.

Ready na akong vise. Wait nlng ko sa Coollaboratory liquid ultra.
Oh that's really a bad chip what you have bro cuz' You still get around 80c-95c even if at 1.12v which is no good since you are using a closed loop water cooling already.

Yeah, i've read a lot of issues what you have as well on some other forum sites even if they are on a custom loop setup already, some others using a closed loop water cooling but still getting higher temps, it's no longer overclocking friendly, so the best solution would be delidding the CPU and see great improvements.

Coollaboratory Liquid Pro would be the best option bro, some others decreased their temps for about 15c which is really helpful, but I think lisod ni sya pangitaon dri sa Pinas, you really need to order it online. You may also use Arctic Silver, Artctic MX or Gelid GC Extreme if you can't find one.

Good luck on your delidding process bro, I know it's not gonna be that hard enough since naa kay Vise, bigger change and success rate. Post nya dri if unsa man gani ang results

Exaclty bro! Hehe... The only reason i bought the 4790k is to push it to its limits. After delidding and temps are better, I'll even try 5.0ghz and more. And when it breaks, hello 5960x.

I don't have an on hand experience overclocking with Sandy Bridge CPU. Can you share your overclocking settings bro? core voltage, frequency speed and the temps you're getting and what cooler you're using?

yes bro, my OC'ed CPU in my main gaming rig is a Sandy Bridge CPU... i5-2550K... share unya nko diri ang OC setting, gi tapol ko ron ug gamit sa rig... hehehe... ang entertainment rig (i5-3570) ra akaong gi gamit ron diri...

I am also planning to delid my i7-4770k dli ko satisfied sa iyang temps man gd, the fact is I am already on a custom loop setup. .

But i still need to think about it, mahal2 bya gyud ni nga CPU, mabuslot og samot akong bulsa if ma TY lang kung ma failed ang delidding process

Intel always try screwing consumers. They could have used better TIM for few $$$.......Good for you bro!
What thermal paste you decided to use?

No need for liquid pro....loosen with blade on four side then vise grip method. Pwede ra blade all the way method pero medyo dugay. GO FOR IT.
