If everybody here is a PM. edi WOW!

Below are qoutes wherein PMs ignored.

“Working ten hour days allows you to fall behind twice as fast as you could working five hour days.” -– Issac Assimov

Do not force your people to spend more time in the office.
Well, the work is a never ending task. As a PM of IT industry, your team either devs or QAs need to refresh their minds. Another thing, a 10-15mins nap every 1-3hrs would be fine or it depends how he gonna use his minutes for refreshment (eg. social network, istorya, talking with officemates, clash of clans, pirate kings, etc. ).

“It is always easier to talk about change than to make it.” — Alvin Toffler

I know lot of PM saying this
I know that you always told the client that we can do this blah blah blah easily. But, you have to put in mind that you have to talk to team first before talking the release date right away. Your team devs/QAs only knows how to make it. You should let them decide the date if when they can deliver. Ask them for the best delivery date and talk to the client again.

“If you always blame others for your mistakes, you will never improve.” — Joy Gumz

Hahaha. This is very important. You do it right? Do not blame others for your own mistake. In japan firms, they succeed because they do not blame people for their mistakes. Instead they blame their process. If they fail, they change their process.

“If you have never recommended canceling a project, you haven’t been an effective project manager.” -– Woody Williams

Some PMs are afraid of their bosses. They are like a puppet or a cute little lovable puppy.
Okay, in an IT industry, multi-tasking of a software project is a fre-k'n thing. Giving two different project of team like you want them to work those project in parallel having the same timeline? It will s_cks. You have to cancel that project or take what is best or has the higher priority.

"One for all, All for one"

Some PMs were acknowledged by their Bosses when the project succeed and they forgot their team. It's ballsheet. The real evil thing. edi WOW!

If it fails, blame the people. Ikaw Na. Edi WOW Again!

Bravo! you have a point bonita,PM should not accept unreasonable request even if it is coming from the clients. You are there for a reason to say NO for the matters.A PM who says YES to everything being said by a client will most likely end up with a failed project and errors. This doesn't mean you say NO always.Analyze the request and decide based on the circumstances.

In my company,a successful outputs with less errors will be rewarded positive reviews and salary hike! That's what most Japanese firm goes.😁
