    People here in istorya.net...before you join this company make sure that you are fully equipped in preventing all the NOTORIOUS things that may happen to you...Think more than a hundred times, because this company is a HELL!!! Expect the WORST among all the WORST that you may have in your life. Because this company (51talk) will give you all these PROBLEMS!!! All the endorsements, not TRUE..have they joined and teach here? Have they encountered the people in 51talk? Have they reported an issue and being ignored? The worst part YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TALK TO ANY HR REPS TO LET THEM KNOW YOUR ISSUES AS an employee. Because for them you are nothing but just their EMPLOYEES! Reactions, comments or questions? I can answer all of them for you. I mean ALL!!!

    How long have you been teaching in 51talk? Cancel the plotted schedule? How can you cancel it if it has already been booked? Yes, you can close your schedules if that time is not yet taken by a student. Yes you will earn 50.00 per 25 minutes class and even more until you become a 5 star teacher (66.00 per 25 minute class) but do you think this stops here? "NO" of course not!!! Once you had a power outage or any valid reasons which will lead you of being absent you will have penalties, which is higher than what you are earning. Plus, 10% TAX applies I think you did not mention that in your post? Yes, you are right you only WORK AT HOME... HOME - refers to the family that lives together. Do you have a pet? You treat your pets as part of your family right, you treat them as a human. Does 51talk treats people as a human? Definitely NOT!!! FYI been with this company not for 2 months not for 6 months not for 1 year but since they have started this ESL job, as a full time teacher by the way.

    And what's your point? why are you bringing up this issue to me? made it known to them....They have their rules and if you will not violate any of them then you will not be posting this message to my thread...am i right?

    VIOLATING RULES? Do you exactly know all their RULES, e.g internet and power outage? Do you exactly know when will you get complaints even if you have done your job being a teacher? KNOWN? I am posting this because I want them to be aware. I worked with this company for 2 and 1/2 years as a fulltime teacher. Try to answer the question in my previous comment: Does 51talk treats people as a human? I am more than happy to give you ALL the answers of what is really happening in this COMPANY.

    For 2 and 1/2 years you didn't raise that concern to them? So that means you benefited from them, you feed your family through them....Now As an employee we have this thing called orientation, right? You agree with their terms and policies, right? You work for them for long years, right? Now, nganung karn raman ka nagreklamo? Its a person choice to work with that company or not, right? wala may pinugsanay. Now, if you have an unfinished business with them then file a formal complaint, but I guess you just coward enough to tell your grievances straight to their face kai sa kadugay nimu imu rang gitulon imung kaligotgot dha....Go to DOLE and file a formal complaint....don't talk trash here in my thread....

    How can you raise concern for something you don't know where to RAISE it? There's an HR but seems to be there is none. I know it hurts because you are TRYING to defend them, I do understand that...You really don't know the HISTORY of the COMPANY you are defending, NO ORIENTATION at that time when I started. When you say AGREE they ask you to sign something right? I don't think there is a new Service Agreement since Mar of 2013. I am COWARD or you? Because you don't know what is REALLY happening in this COMPANY, you haven't even encountered HUGE numbers of TEACHERS and ADMINS left? Do you? Nooo...Speaking of being COWARD, say you have insisted your right then do you know what comes next? Is there any RULES about that? HR handles this right? Where are they by the way? Nada. Don't talk trash? If my comments are TRASH what is yours then? FYI I am writing my comments in this thread not TALKING.

    Ms. Jane Chua tunog pa lang ng pangalan mo Chinese na Chinese na eh, pero teacher ka din ba sa company na ito or admin or ano? Kasi yun way ng pag comment mo kakaiba eh (sorry to say that), may taong hindi nakaranas ng maganda sa company na pinagta trabahuhan nyong pareho, wag mo lang basahin ang comments nya intindihin mo rin..Eto oh: "FYI been with this company not for 2 months not for 6 months not for 1 year but since they have started this ESL job, as a full time teacher by the way." This means wala na sya dun dahil maaring lumaban sya at pinaglaban nya yun rights nya at yan ang nangyari. Ayaw mo bang may nababasang negative sa company na pinagta trabahuhan mo? Then wag kang mag post sa mga threads kasi dapat handa ka sa mga reaction ng tao... Kung babasahin mabuti at iintindihin ang mga post mo, wala kang sinagot sa tanong ni HonestInputs101.

    Ako ESL teacher din pero base sa mga nabasa kong post about sa company na pinagta trabahuhan mo may penalties pag may absent o kung ano mang reason na di ka makakapag turo, sa company na pinagta trabahuhan ko wala yan, "strictly no work no pay". Sabi mo din Ms. Chua na "you will start at 50.00 per 25 minute class" tama? Nabasa ko din yan sa ibang sites na may parang ranking habang tumatagal at dumadami ang students mo ay tumataas ang bayad per 25 minutes hanggang maging 60.00+ at pag weekends 70.00+ ang bayad? So, meaning automatic yan hindi performance based tama ba? Kasi may points, points daw eh...ayaw kong sabihin ito ha...pero anong guarantee na effective kang teacher kung matic lahat? Hindi kaya yun ang reason bakit nagkakaroon ng girian sa company na yan? Kasi andami kong nabasang negative comments tungkol sa company na pinagta trabahuhan mo...lahat sila ang pinag uusapan complaints ng students, penalties at kung anu-ano pa...pati mga tao sa office na yan wala na daw moral...

    Isipin mo Ms. Chua tumaas ang rank ng teacher tapos sandamakmak na complaints pa rin ang inaabot? Ang masaklap nyan kawawa ang mga teachers nyo kasi hindi sila fully aware sa mga hidden things ng company na yan, base kasi sa mga nabasa kong comments sa iba't-ibang sites may human resource pero hindi naa accommodate ang mga ganito scenario, bakit pa may human resource para lang sa mga applicants? Lahat ng mga comments ko Ms. Chua at base sa mga nabasa ko, bakit di mo naman bigyan ng insights ang mga nakakabasa nito? Tutal sabi mo " They have their rules and if you will not violate any of them then you will not be posting this message to my thread" ano ba kasi ang rules nila? Sa dating kasi ng mga messages mo parang mataas ang position mo sa company na yan eh, hindi ka man lang marunong mag comment ng "sorry for the inconvenience, hindi ako aware sa ganito or I will try to seek advice or answer sa company kung bakit may ganyan" tapos iko comment mong coward ang tao eh hindi mo nga sya kilala. Yun company na pinag uusapan nyo ang topic nya at yun klase ng trabaho dun kasi hindi ka nagbibigay ng pros and cons...tsk...tsk...tsk...

    May incentives ba pag may nai-refer ka? Kung meron yan na siguro ang rason bakit todo benta ka, kung wala naman sana ipaalam mo din ang mga negatives side nila, or baka natatakot ka din kasi hindi mo naman talaga alam ang rules?

    I'm Posting this thread to raise arguments to anybody. If you will apply here in 51Talk you will be oriented with everything and its your choice to accept the contract or not. If you choose to be part of the team then that means you've agreed to its pros and cons just like most companies had. Rules are made to have a smooth flow in the company's operation. If there are penalties, those are not hidden; the company laid it out to the employee before he will start. Ms.UKTeacher if you will put up your own company will you just give in to the demands of your employees and let them do whatever they want as long as it pleased them?

    Company policies are there and it does not only exist in 51Talk, but it applies to any company regardless how small or big the company is. Now, with the rules that you're asking. Sorry, if I can't divulge any of the company's policies to you. Are you even employed or pinag iisipan mo ba ang mga tanong mo sa akin? Let's go back to the basic, divulging any information from the company to other person or any party is an illegal act and its punishable by law. If you're really curious then you're free to be part of the team and dig in any information that you want to know and after that its your choice to continue or walk away without any question. But, the question is "Do you Have What it Takes To Be One Of Us"?
