bro,
suggest nko if naa namo plain ticket back and forth book a tour package ahead.
kasagaran sa ila package kay pick up and drop off sa inyo hotel.
if wala pamoy hotel i suggest apartment lang. mostly ila hotels ky tied up sa mga travel agencies which offer mga tours.
ila travel agencies kay tied up sa ila department of tourism which control sa ila tourista pud.
for us we booked a tour ky worry free nami and we are prepared ahead sa mga activities namo on that day.
hope it helps...
This will be next in my bucket list for summer 2014

I had a 5-day vacation in Puerto Princesa - El Nido Palawan last November 2013 so I'd like to share it with you TS. Spent around 40K including airfare (piso fare ni xa) na with my mom, pop, sis and bro-in-law.. Mas nkabarato na gani mi kay van sa amo distant relative ang gigamit. (I only paid 11thou for the 5 days that we used the van) Anyway, here's our itinerary:
Day 1 -- Lunch mi naabot sa Puerto so after lunch, we traveled for 2 hours then reached Sabang. Mga 3PM na mi naabot and dili na unta mi pasudlon ddto sa underground kay nag wait na lng sila sa last nga gi dispatch. Nwei, naa man kaila ako ante so gipasud ra mi plus nka register na pud mi a few days ahead. Naa entrance/environmental/boat fee bayran around Php350/head. After sa UG river, stay mi sa Sabang and rented a room to stay overnight (1500/room). Mahal ang Sheridan Hotel and wala pud mi magdugay sa Sabang. Nwei, we had dinner then rest.
Day 2 -- Woke up early at 3AM since we had to travel to El Nido for 6 LONG hours. Reached El Nido at 9AM. Had breakfast na lang sa boat kay 9am man sched sa amo island hopping. We paid 1000/head sa tour A (Small Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Big Lagoon, island where mi naglunch, then finally sa Helicopter Island man cguro to). It's kinda expensive kay peak season man daw. Mga 4pm jud to nahuman amo island hopping. This was the best day of our tour. Pang world-class jud ang El Nido. Daghan kaaung mga turistang afam. And I was so happy seeing my parents enjoying a lot. But nagmahay ko kay wala koi waterproof nga camera. Finally, we went back to Puerto and arrived at 10PM.
Day 3 -- This was my bday. We went to that Catholic Church, then Crocodile Farm, that Correctional Facility, that overlooking place with trampoline, horse-back riding and zipline, then Baker's Hill.
Day 4 -- shopped for pasalubong sa market and rest!
Day 5 -- Flew back to Cebu
P.S. -- Ang tag-iya sa van amo gigamit kay magulang sa asawa sa manghud sa akong mama (O.o), so distant relative na jud. Ana si Tito nga bigay na daw niya sa amin yung City Tour and UG River tour. So basically, I only paid for the El Nido tour.
So TS, if 2 ra mo, I think maau backpackers jud. And rent ra mo tricycle sa City Tour. Then daghan ra man pud pension house/bed&bath near sa airport.. good luck!
