    Activate Windows 8 by Phone

in my case dili man to updated akong Windows 8 when I upgraded to Windows 8.1
kay ako man na restore to factory settings (had problems with metro Tiles), then installed some drivers and a virtual drive software.
I did not upgrade thru Windows store but instead downloaded the Windows 8.1 ISO (for backup copy purposes) following a guide here
How to download the official Microsoft Windows 8.1 ISO | How To - CNET

I did not burn the ISO but instead just extracted the file on my desktop then run the set-up from there.
upon installation, I was prompted to go online for updates and compatibility.
The update itself took less than a minute, so i reckon murag less than 1 mb rato.
afterwards it listed the incompatible softwares w/c prevented the upgrading process.
In my case it was the bluetooth PC suite driver and Daemon mount tools.
There were other issues listed but it was stated nga I can continue w/ the installation w/o fixing those issues.
So I just uninstalled the bluetooth PC suite drivers and Deamon Tools.
then after reboot proceeded w/ the installation,
katong other compatibilty issues ni-appear lang gihapon but upgrading to Windows 8.1 proceeded w/o a hitch.

Installed office 2013 afterwards then activated both Windows 8.1 and Office via phone.

    IMPORTANT
upon successful activation make a backup of your Activation with this tool here

OPA-Backup - Backup and restore the product activation of Microsoft Office

it restored my office 2013 activation about 2 days ago when i stupidly experimented with changing my Office 2013 product key.

forgot to mention that there are notes from Microsoft that the so called "issues" will be fixed with the installation of Windows 8.1
from the top of my head, ma recall nako ang Windows Device Center ang usa sa issue coming from Windows 8.
and there's an option nga "Do not keep apps...etc" upon upgrading.

Regarding with Windows Activation bro, only Microsoft Technical Support can assist you with that, unless a case will not be resolve in a LvL1 Technician, it will be escalated to LvL2 Technician. Especially Phone Activation, Microsoft has a Chat Support, you can try to have a 1on1 session.

Bro I'm also working from Microsoft Answer Desk, after Windows 8.1 was released there are lot of issues. With this problem bro, I can teach you the step by step troubleshooting on what to do, but I highly advice to visit this website http://answerdesk.microsoftstore.com

This is Microsoft's product bro, of course they can resolve this issue, remember if case will not be resolve in LVl1, there is a higher technician will handle your Case.

Philippine Freephone numbers for Windows 8.1 automated Activation

    800-2468-1688 or 1800-1441-0158

    Local/ National rate
    +63 2 859 0505 or +65 6324 8098

under normal circumstances if dili ma activate sa automated (robot) system,
mo redirect man to support where a "human" will assist you

if lisod pag contact and sabton sa Philippines, like I said before choose another region

right click start button, click run and type Slui 4
    then choose another region

ang problema ani sa TS kay he changed his original product key to a "pirated" product key
when he run the slmgr.vbs -ipk command.
