days ago. trying to condemn an old shower faucet that has been leaking non stop and was getting faster each passing day. the tee thread is already gone. won't hold the stem. so decided to just condemn the line, rather than bigger damage and rework if i were to change that tee.
just working with merely 3" or so width (1 tile 4"x4"). quite difficult to cut the nipple-plus that kabilya on the right side is making things more difficult.. i tried using a drill, then switch to the rotary drill via the flexible shaft to try to cut the nipple. because of the tight space and its inside. the cut i was making with the rotary drill (using the fiber glass reinforced cut wheel) was going diagonal. it's angled-impossible to make a horizontal cut. and gets more difficult as you go deeper. but cutting that nipple was almost a breeze with the cut wheel..
a more appropriate tool would be a reciprocating saw to cut.. but since i don't have that. i end up using the old ways.. hack saw it. lolz! took 2 china hacksaw blade casualty to have upper and lower cuts. slowly inching.. what a great relief when it was finally cut.. lolz!
no availale g.i. cap.. so used a pvc cap instead.. who cares..it worked.. lolz!
