Again... that's wishful thinking. Wishful thinking sad gani si Isaiah Thomas. We're entitled to our opinions anyway, so if that's what you think and that's what i think then ato-a ra sad na.

The Cavs would want to resign Anderson Varejao and Pavlovic and GM Danny Ferry was entitled to go for the luxury tax so I expect for them to counter any team's offer.

Thank you sa list. I've never thought about looking for free agents kay gamay ra ang viable for huge contracts.

    What does Kobe really want?

That's a bit of a trick question, given that Bryant didn't exactly hold firm to a position when we last heard from him directly. You undoubtedly haven't forgotten Kobe's whirlwind media tour May 30, during which he flopped back and forth between asking to be traded and hoping to retire a Laker in a daylong stream of interviews.

But the best read one can make, some three weeks later, is that Kobe wants to be like Mike.

    Or, rather, like LeBron.

Bryant wants to be in the East, basically. Ratings might have been down during the Finals, way down, but Bryant obviously didn't miss LeBron James getting to the championship round with a team that has as many roster holes as the current Lakers do.

The working list of teams Bryant is willing to be traded to, as reported by ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher, includes only three teams: Phoenix, Dallas and Chicago.

This would appear to be another of way of saying he's willing to go only to Michael Jordan's old team because Bryant has an unrivaled ability to pick his destination by possessing the NBA's only active no-trade clause and because he knows the Lakers would do anything to send him out of their conference.

Can't say it better than Suns coach Mike D'Antoni said it: Even if it were willing to part with, say, Amare Stoudemire, Phoenix still would have to throw in the Grand Canyon to persuade the Lakers to send it Bryant.

(As for MJ's daunting legacy? You should know by now that living up to those standards might dissuade others but only will make Kobe want this more.)

Players change indeed. But players change for the better or for worse. Kobe to Knicks is doable but that would require him to lock his ego and go along with the players, which is not really a thing for him. He's had his troubles in the past and if he plays along with Marbury, they'll be throwing egos at each other. That would be a worse case scenario.

For one, it's not entirely about superstars in one team. It's about how things will turn out well between the players and the coaches to establish a team that is chip-worthy.

    The Latest in RUMORS

    Minnesota - Boston

Garnett nixed the proposed deal of:

    KG+Troy Hudson

    for

    AJefferson+Wally+Ratliff+Telfair+5th pick

Says he doesn't want to play in Boston

    Minnesota - Phoenix

Phoenix and Minnesota is reportedly talking about moving Kevin Garnett to Suns for Amare Stoudemire and 08 Hawks pick (unprotected).

    Milwaukee

Earl Boykins has opt out his contract, making him a free agent in July 1. Now, he's up-for-grabs.

    Utah

The Jazz have opened talks to teams who are interested in Andrei Kirilenko. However, he's got $63million left on his contract so it's somewhat difficult, even impossible, for him to be traded.

    NBA DRAFT

    Portland

Greg Oden attended his workout with the Blazers recently and had a seemingly disappointed display: He missed more than a handful of easy shots, got overly tired and found himself apologizing for his play to coach Nate McMillan and Blazers personnel, according to reports.

Manager Mike Conely Sr. stated that Oden only gave out "75 percent" and could prove better next time. Hehe.. Mura man ug Tagoru.

    Atlanta

Acie Law canceled his scheduled workout with the New Orleans Hornets. This move sparked an speculation that he received a guarantee from the Atlanta Hawks, who might use their #11 pick on him. Wow... tsk, tsk, tsk.

The Atlanta Hawks were the first team to see Chinese Yi Jianlian's workout in Los Angeles. And they have given their considerations in using their #3 on him. Other prospects for the Hawks are Al Horford, Joaquim Noah and Brandan Wright.

    The Best Free Agents

    1. Vince Carter (player option) - Although he has been in the league for several years, he’s still a very good player and would be great for a team in need of more scoring. He’s said that he is favoring staying in New Jersey, but that’s the politically correct thing to say. The New Jersey Nets made it to the second round of the playoffs this year mainly due to his talent and that of the also veteran Jason Kidd.

    2. Chauncey Billups (player option) - Though he tends to shoot first and pass second, Chauncey is one of the top 5 point guards in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers have expressed a lot of interest in him, but like Carter, he has said that he favors staying with his current team. Any team lacking a good point guard ought to make a push for him because they aren’t likely to find a player like him in the NBA Draft.

    3. Rashard Lewis (player option) - Most Seattle fans have only ever been lukewarm towards Lewis, but despite perceived defensive lapses, Lewis can really score. Like Vince Carter, he would be a steal for any team lacking a good scorer. He and Ray Allen have carried Seattle single-handedly over the past couple of years. If the Sonics do indeed draft Kevin Durant (as most 2007 NBA Draft predictions have them doing), Lewis will likely be expendable, so a sign-and-trade is a very definite possibility, especially with teams that are over the salary cap.

    4. Gerald Wallace (player option) - Though nobody ever gets to see the Charlotte Bobcats play (because they never make it into the television schedule), Gerald Wallace has easily been the best player on Charlotte ever since he was picked up in the expansion draft. He is a very versatile wing man with the ability to score as well as to help in a variety of other ways.

    5. Luke Walton - Injuries limited his production this year, but Luke is another versatile swingman. He was often the second best guy on the Los Angeles Lakers.

    6. Jason Kapono - Kapono can really shoot, especially the long ball. He was also limited by injuries this year, but he managed to crack the starting line-up in Miami and did well in that role. Any team looking for a shooting guard or small forward to stretch the defenses would do well to take a long, hard look at Kapono.

    7. Mo Williams - Williams is probably the second best point guard in the free agent market. Backing up T.J. Ford again after he came back from his injury, Williams shined when T.J. was out. You’ve got to think that any team willing to offer him their starting point guard job can steal him away from the Milwaukee Bucks. If the Lakers can’t entice Billups, they ought to turn their efforts towards Williams next.

    8. Earl Boykins (Player Option) - Boykins often has problems because of his height, but Boykins has managed to shine because he can really shoot the ball. Most teams won’t be willing to offer them their starting point guard position because of his height, preferring him to come off the bench and speed things up and shoot the lights out. He is very good at both. He’s probably the third best point guard on the free agent market (and the third best point guard on the Milwaukee Bucks).

    9. Andres Nocioni (Restricted) - A hard-nosed defender on a team packed with young talent, it’s hard to say if Nocioni would leave for a team where he would get more playing time and more money. Teams in need of some more defense would be foolish not to give Nocioni a look.

    The Whole List

It’s not worth it for me to list the rest of the players, but I’ll provide a link to the full list as provided by ESPN. There are definitely some other good players in the list including the likes of Deshawn Stevenson, Steve Blake, Sasha Pavlovic, and Smush Parker that teams will definitely want to take a look at.
