How i see it, if it's not too much of an issue just let it pass and spending time/money for court hearing ain't worth it, it will takes months even years before you even reach to court. Most likely it will stop at the Barangay or just between your Lawyer. Probably its a good sign to look for another company. Tenured employee should be treated better than that. Its best you consult human resources if he plans to resign to ensure that he gets all the benefits. If anything turns out fishy they you proceed with Barangay consultation then escalating to a lawyer if necessary.
