    dili ko ka compare with other connections kay karon ra man ko ka dsl, but satisfied kaayo akong speed. Ang akong pc nga naka wireless pareho ra man sa akong sis na wired, nya mo abot man 80 kb/s akong dwnload. Only drawback I can see is dili kaayo cya mo lapus sa walls, akong other sis ni palit pa ug repeater, I think mas maayo to ang higher model nga naay speed booster ug mas layo ug range.

    hi everyone...

    naa ko plan to change from wired to wireless and i did some planning and wonder if this is alright...

    ang karon is like this:
    Internet -> router -> computer(s)

    and i was thinking of something like this:
    Internet -> wifi G router* -> computer1(cable) > other computer(wireless)
    or
    Internet ->wifi G router -> computer(s)

    *i was thinking of getting the Linksys WRT54G WiFi router

    i have some questions too...
    a. unsa pa man mga hardware/software ako need?
    b. pwede ba ko mag gamit ug bluetooth?
    c. if ingon ani ang set-up sayon ra ba pag install?

    SMB, unsa man ang problema sa imong connection? What model nga asus? laptop?, makita sa imong laptop ang router? Maka connect ka sa router but walay internet? Putol2x ang connection? Taga-i mi ug gamay nga details. Ang ako mga default settings ra man.
    Sa linnksys, ang settings nako kay PPPoE, router name - linksys, MTU-manual, DHCP -enabled, nya local IP default 192.168.1.1, DHCP users - 50, advanced routing kay naka gateway lan & wireless, wireless network mode - mixed, SSID broadcast - enabled, disabled ang MAC address and security, firewall - enabled, UPnP - enabled.

    Ang Asus nimo i-set lang to let windows configure your connection para sayon, but better kung ma configure gyud nimo manually.

    Connected ko sa router pero I cannot open websites. Ingon sa kadtong tech nga ako kipa-anhi. The router and modem seem not to communicate. I am not techy so I don't really know what that means and what else needs to be done. Hasta gali ang tech wala kahibalo unsa iya buhaton he gave up after 4 hours of troubleshooting...

    did you follow the CD driver? Kasagaran jud ana mao mabulabog kay imanually configure man gud. Most of those techs are plug and play then ayha pa ka manual config if dili madala sa automatic config. Try daw check unsa ang IP address sa imo gbroadband then mao ba ang IP address na conectan sa imo router.

    SMB, diay mas sayon, unsa man na imong DSL, PLDT?

    request for a technician sa ila, nya i reklamo nga dautan ang imong DSL modem kay dili ka connect ang router. Cla na pa problemaha sa connection sa router. Since you are paying for DSL monthly, PLDT is obliged to troubleshoot your connection.
    Also when your configuring the router, it is bettter to use a wired connection to the router and use the web-based utility sa linksys

    BTW, unsa imong DSL and asa ang inyong area? I might have a PLDT technician na ma recommend.

    Akong location is Banilad, then Globe akong provider...

    And yes, we have tried both wired and wireless pero wala jud siya mi-work. Ni surrender nlang gud ang vendor tech. Dili man sad nako sila ma pressure because the router was working man didto sa ilaha. ...
