a lot of beaches sa southern leyte are nice.
I second the statement about the beaches in So. Leyte as "nice." It maybe one of the province's best kept secrets! I have been to Canigao two times and in both instances I have been mesmerized by its natural beauty and the its promise of escape from bustle of "city life." I haven't been to as many towns in So. Leyte, but I did visit Maasin and San Juan/Cabalian at least a couple of times. I have also passed by Liloan enroute to Surigao via the ferry. OT: San Juan is a really pretty, seaside town. Mt. Cabalian, an extinct (edit: PhilVocs classifies this as a "potentially active") volcano dominates the town's landscape and makes for a commanding presence and is in fact reflected on the town's official seal. There is a lake on top of Mt. Cabalian that I was unable to visit.
