    2) AYAW ug palit sa mga WANTS palit ug mga needs, if you don't know which items are needed and wants then you are not mature enough, so better learn how to evaluate

    3) Live as if you are living with your last peso, baliha ang hunahuna everytime makadawat ka ug sweldo, its not that "Oh great sweldo na pd, yehey", himua pessimistic like "oh sweldo na pd d ay karon, okay".

    4) consistent saving, meaning, keep a constant or specific amount of money to be saved. example 2k kada bulan (1k kada payday)

    5) invest, invest, invest, there are many ways you can invest your money like business, mutual funds, time deposits, etc. Ask a money consultant if wla ka kabalo unsaon

    6) DO not pretend or act that you received a bunos or extra income when you actually received them, treat it as ordinary income so that you can save and keep it. This is also known as training your "psychological wallet" or training yourself na ma-anad na DILI ma SHOCK kung makadawat ug daku kwarta.

    7) Ig saka sa imo sweldo during a new Job or a promotion, as much as possible DO NOT adjust your lifestyle, common pitfalls ni sa mga taw, coz if you adjust your lifestyle you are not giving yourself an opportunity to save, but if you keep your old spending habits even nidaku na imo income, then that difference between your old and new income will shape your future.

    Common mistake sa mga Pinoy, pagmakadawat ug kwarta kay mag party dayun!

    ang masayop jd pirmi ang mga taw, specially ang mga girls kay;
    1. unnecessary spending on gadgets, Ayaw palit ug iPhone or iPad when ang imo need kay mag facebook ra, if your need is for communication, a cheap phone will do, And I mean an ordinary phone which cost lessthan 5k will do.
    maka internet naman ka sa balay, unsa pa gamit na mag cge ka ug check sa imo internet sa imo phone?
    dli magpadala sa uso.

    2. Don't OVER reward yourself with shopping, think of it as, when you save money now, you can reward yourself later kng daghan na ka ug tigum, whats the difference?
    a) In times of need, kung naka save ka naa kay makuhaan na kwarta.
    b) when nakasave ka ug daku, you can invest it and grow your money, that's the time you can reward yourself.

    3) Do not compete or risk your money para lang sa "social status", you do not need to show them that you have money just by your gadgets, cars ug unsa pa dira, sa tinood d ay wla d ay to savings

    disciplina ra jd na ang kelangan

    yes I do spend on needs..but the type nga i go over my budget for groceries because i dont look at prices or buys anything not on my list..we just got a new house..and our income is enough for everything..so if we go over our budget..lufet..negative jud..

    Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts..and I will surely take your advises...I may not spend on gadgets..and may not party on payday like any other girls out there..but my only mistake is not to watch out for my spending in terms of groceries...agreed to my husband that we enroll our kids to an overly expensive school (we can afford..but afford meaning..no room for savings because every drop of peso is accounted for something important).

    We are transferring our kids to a much better and cheaper school this coming school year so thats the start...everything else will follow..thanks to y'all...
