There's no expiry since it's enclosed in a tightly sealed container. For use, it is recommended that you have one changed after a serious encounter (hold up, rape, etc). But I tried using this product personally and I can say that it depends. If you're going to use it in short burst, it will last longer (maybe 100 to 200 shots maximum, 1 to 2 seconds per shot). But if you use it for prolonged shots, it can last for 30 to 50 shots.
