Clients may either be in the form of a retainer or case basis (and this branches out to walk in clients, referral or assigned to you).

The behavior and relationship changes because the retainer is encompassing in all fronts (client-centric) while the latter is limited to the case itself. It also depends on the lawyer's practice, principles and stand. Some do not accept clients simply because of criminal ties or shady background of the client. Others tend to be the defender of such.

Perceptions arise early in the profession. Law school graduated, placement in bar, family history (in politics, family of lawyers, etc), status in society and most important is the network. If you have these elements come into play, then that is a budding career. Reputation is premium in this field.

And oh.... Suits is back tomorrow. Harvard Law rocks

Lawyers are paid to lie in the guise of giving justice and also uncover the truth which is also a lie because the lie is out there and the real truth is nowhere.

Bunga ra ni sa akong katulogon...
We need lawyers to defend the lie and protect the truth.

    1. To represent their clients whether good or bad. In the eyes of the law, everyone is entitled to fair justice.
    2. Good because they represent fairness and equality. Bad because they sometimes even if we all know the criminal is guilty, they lawyers can prove the contrary

we should always put a gap between personal aspects towards profesion. mao na ang giingon nga walay personalan, trabaho lang... we have to understand, how lawyers stay in d middle of ones personal lives and even solve ones personal disputes... its unrespectful to say lawyers are liers if theyr ther to defend their clients and do their duties.

I'm just wondering, if obvious na kaayo nga guilty ang client, kinahanglan pa ba gyud na idefend sa lawyer? I mean, yeah, I know that we have this "innocent until proven guilty" but of course, before the proclamation, the lawyer for sure will know whether the client is guilty or not. On a moral point of view, can anybody clear this out?

almost all cases are 50/50.

On moral point of view, depende ra na sa mga lawyers kng mo dawat cya or dili. Pero bisan maldito pa na ang client naa jud silay right to have an attorney. Again, kng klaro na kaayo na guilty then ang ilang last stand kay ipa gamay ang penalty sa client.
