take note, use the higher version IEEE kay mas paspas pa ang USB 2.0 sa older version na IEEE.
by the way, Fireware technology is older than USB. they have different implemantation connector type.
you mean mga bai nga newer version siya sa usb?
pareha ra ug PORT? ang paslakanan vah pareha ra mga bai?
yeah! bling bling men...abz'
ang firewire bro different na siya sa USB but pareha2x ra ang purpose for device interfacing.....
try to google lang FIREWIRE.....
FireWire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FireWire is Apple Inc.'s brand name for the IEEE 1394 interface (although the 1394 standard also defines a backplane interface). It is also known as i.Link (Sony’s name). It is a personal computer (and digital audio/digital video) serial bus interface standard, offering high-speed communications and isochronous real-time data services. FireWire has replaced Parallel SCSI in many applications, due to lower implementation costs and a simplified, more adaptable cabling system. IEEE 1394 has been adopted as the High Definition Audio-Video Network Alliance (HANA) standard connection interface for A/V component communication and control[citation needed]. FireWire is also available in wireless, fiber optic and coaxial versions using the isochronous protocols.
Almost all modern digital camcorders have included this connection since 1995. Many computers intended for home or professional audio/video use have built-in FireWire ports including all Apple, Dell (except the Inspiron 1501, Dimension 8300 series, and Latitude 131L) and Sony laptop computers currently produced. It is also widely available on retail motherboards for DIY PCs, alongside USB. FireWire was used with initial models of Apple's iPod, but later models eliminated FireWire support in favor of USB due to space constraints and for wider compatibility.

Universal Serial Bus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a serial bus standard to interface devices. A major component in the legacy-free PC, USB was devised to help retire all serial and parallel ports since these were not standardized and required a multitude of device drivers to be developed and maintained. USB was designed to allow peripherals to be connected without expansion cards for the computer's ISA, EISA, or PCI bus, to improve plug-and-play capabilities by allowing devices to be connected and disconnected without rebooting the computer (hot swapping), and to allow specific classes of hardware to be used without requiring individual drivers to be installed.
USB can connect computer peripherals such as mouse devices, keyboards, PDAs, gamepads and joysticks, scanners, digital cameras and printers. For many devices such as scanners and digital cameras, USB has become the standard connection method. USB is also used extensively to connect non-networked printers; USB simplifies connecting several printers to one computer. USB was originally designed for personal computers, but it has become commonplace on other devices such as PDAs and video game consoles. In 2004, there were about 1 billion USB devices in the world.
The design of USB is standardized by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), an industry standards body incorporating leading companies from the computer and electronics industries. Notable members have included Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard, NEC, Microsoft, Intel, and Agere.
now i know.... thanks ninyo mga higala ko
thanks spookey

pa sawsaw ani nga post mga bro.. i read the past posts..thanks anang info nimo sa firewire..hehe.. karon pa ko ana da.. hehe.. thanks!![]()
you can check "network connections" and see if you have a 1394 network connection. That would tell you if you have th adapterOriginally Posted by tonspri

it works.....configure the bios for usb boot.......if nag utilize ug usb power and ExtHD....hinay gayud na........but if it uses its own power supply to the outlet....then mu kusog gayud na!![]()
