So, what we have is a Politician who just admitted that he accepted and is currently using PERSONAL and very expensive GIFTS from a businessman...

The vehicles are registered under Minnie and son Paolo... who are private individuals.

So why again are they allowed to have the Cebu City Seal?

I wonder what his good friend Jesse Robredo would have said to all this....

Chalk this up under the EPAL section... Kalimot na siguro ni sila what it means to be a public servant and not act like you own the City.

Kani sad... if gi donate to Tomas, how come gibutang under the name sa iyang relatives? Suwaw ra kaayo if under sa iya name?

Will we still vote into office politicians with this behavior? Have we had enough of this already? I wish though there'd be more qualified candidates for the elections, otherwise, we will only run in circles.

Section 7. Prohibited Acts and Transactions

    (d) Solicitation or acceptance of gifts. - Public officials and employees shall not solicit or accept, directly or indirectly, any gift, gratuity, favor, entertainment, loan or anything of monetary value from any person in the course of their official duties or in connection with any operation being regulated by, or any transaction which may be affected by the functions of their office.

if memory serves me right if the alleged violation happen during the mayoralty, and it was being upheld by SC jurisprudence multiple times with Aguinaldo Doctrine, that moots all administrative liabilities if the said official had been re-elected by its constituents..

so if you guys want him out of the political arena do it next year... im a strong supporter of his leadership through his political will and decision... am i a fan... not really just some of his attitude that opon really needs... still hoping for a tomas-like person to run next year in opon...
