- check if you can still "Undo" the deleted message -- it looks like this



- re-check your entire emails, maybe you can still see fb email notifications aside from the fact that you filter it all already
- check your email's spam folder if the message still exist (depends on the setting i.e. auto delete, delete in 1 week etc.)
- if the message is important, how about asking the sender to send the message again? not unless it's an evidence to something
- deleted message can be recovered in a span of time.. if you can't undo it, then no luck at all. Even contacting fb support.

TS, tough luck...you can retrieve a deleted message immediately upon deletion but FB does not present any means to retrieve them after that span. The only solution would have been the e-mail notification which, unfortunately, is not an option in this case. Kung grabe ka importante, like before when I had problems with my account, you can send emails to the following (at least I hope they still work, I used them back in 2010)...NOTE: this is assuming that Facebook stores deleted messages from EVERY facebook user for an indefinite period...since we don't really know how facebook's complicated messaging system works.

I multi-sent to those addresses, and fortunately enough it worked. Be sure to make an appeal that is courteous, and concise and throw in a good reason why you need it--be sure to try and sell it... Again, this is kind of a last ditch resort. I don't know if those emails still work or if they'll give a reply at all, but it worked for me (2 years ago). I'll try to find the other addresses, I'm sure there were more than the above listed. Also, I repeat this is banking on the whole theory of FB saving those deleted messages.
