We have a lousy and uncompetitive internet service market in the Philippines due to our constitutional restrictions on setting-up foreign telecom company that only permits them to own not more than 40% of equity shares. Because of that 60/40 equity restrictions in favor to Filipino corporations, foreign telecom companies are hesitant to compete one-on-one with existing local telecom companies like PLDT and Globe Telecom that could have make our internet services faster and efficient to our consumers.

i'm don't have the scientific data or stats to prove, this is just based on my experience having traveled to many parts in our country: Globe internet service in general sucks! Mas nindot pa daw ang PLDT mydsl, Comclark Pampanga, and Bayantel. Globe internet is almost the same with Digihell in terms of dismal service..

bati gyud ang globe bisan unsaon:

1. Tattoo - perting hinaya mas kusog pa dial up.
2. Wimax - segi lang walay signal, kinahanglan pa nimo e reset pirme.
3. Broadband - 2Mbps imo account pero tagaan lang kag 256kbps.

Voice calls - samot sege ka error connection.

Unsa kahay mas kusog and reliable nga provider para sa Cebu City area in general? Any feedbacks?

Sky broadband I guess from skycable fast and reliable. I'm also a globe user I can say it depends on what location you're in... here in wireless their connection is fine. fast and less intermittent.

the most intermittent was last week which is holy week I guess they've not maintained it because it's a holiday.

mao sad ni ako problema sauna sa kato Globe broadband pa ako gamit pero ako uban kaila na Globe subscriber pud ok raman daw ila connection.. depende sa area ni dagway.. same with smartbro
